“Design is an art on a mission to solve problems.”

At its core, design is about finding thoughtful solutions to real challenges. It is the balance between creativity and purpose, where ideas are transformed into experiences, systems, products, and spaces that improve the way we live, work, and interact.

Great design doesn’t just look good—it works, communicates, and solves.

Happy Easter, everyone! ✨ Wishing you all a season full of joy and peace

This time of year always makes me reflective. I was just thinking back to Easter 2020, when I took a massive leap of faith and entered my first architecture and design competition.

Back then, I was just starting out and honestly? I just knew I had my wit and a vision I needed people to see. I came in 4th place, and that “almost-win” was the spark that lit the fire for everything that followed. 🏗️💡

I’m so grateful for that version of me who decided to just start. And that’s why I’m so passionate about the @paidsummit

We’ve built this to be the ultimate launchpad for interior design professionals. It’s where you get to bypass the “trial and error” phase by tapping into the experiences of industry giants. The support and the recipe for success here are next level. 📈

This is your sign to bet on yourself.
🚀 Early bird tickets are available until April 8th.
🗓️ event date May 7th – 9th.

See you there!

Some days we’re designing the space; other days, we’re talking about what it’s really like to be the designer.

I was on a call with a colleague recently and we ended up going “behind the scenes” of the job—sharing those real, on-the-clock experiences that you just can’t find in a manual. It’s in those moments of sharing that the best light is shed on our craft.

This is the energy that the PAID Summit brings.
It’s all about the exchange. An exchange of ideas, a crossover of experiences, and a meeting of minds for everyone from seasoned professionals to design enthusiasts.

Wait, there’s more time to join us!

Early bird registration now closes on April 8th, so you still have time to grab your spot before the event kicks off from May 7th to 9th.

Who else is ready to talk design? Register via the link in my bio and use the ambassador code AMBFerdinand2026

See you at the summit! 🥂

The #PAIDsummit is gradually drawing close and I’m finding this ambassador life to be pretty interesting. I’m spending a lot more time pursuing a cause bigger than myself in a field that I love. It’s just slice bread that comes close to this, guys.

Design can be more than aesthetics. It can become the identity card that tells Africa’s story to the world.

Through spaces, materials, and ideas, designers have the power to express who we are and where we are going.

Thank you Ferdinand Asakome for this perspective.

A real conversation about design.
Process. Growth. Perspective.

Nothing forced just shared experience and insight.

If something connects with where you are right now, leave it in the comments.
