Happy birthday to me, to @juu_oui a few days ago, and congrats to ice hockey champions Finland. So much thanks for all the wishes received today 😘

1. Reception (of course) was held by @kersti.juva and her partner Juliette in Oxford. Ketti has translated The Lord of The Rings in Finnish, and accordingly found home & love around Tolkien’s alma mater in the shires. Relatives from my mother’s side, it was about time to visit their hometown and spend birthday with family even 3 countries away from Koto-Suomi.

2. A group photograph with Sonja, my second cousin Tiina, and The Radcliffe Camera.

Turn Back feat. Elsie (Live somewhere in London) is out for all the world to see today! And we are craving for your attention.

Is it a bit foolish to cling to a hope that any of us could ever return to anything at all?
Aren’t we somewhat condemned to move forward forever: toward tomorrow, towards death, perhaps toward a new life in the hereafter. From there to somewhere...

Even the planet we live on moves at tremendous speeds, spiraling through the universe, always onwards. Not only in time, but in space as well. From this one can only conclude that the past is not merely a moment in time — every instant of our lives also has physical coordinates to which the Earth will never return. Even if we can turn back the clock, I’m skeptical that we could move celestial bodies back to the same positions they occupied “back then.”

A huge thanks to Elsie, and all crew for making this with me!
Sound: @isawiza
Camera: @joshuajumper_ @sjarvisalo
Mixing, editing, coloring: Oskari Halsti

The artist is currently touring
Pe 20/02 Tapiolasali, Espoo (FI)
La 21/02 G Livelab, Tampere (FI)
