BM Post

Burning Man has become a very important part of my life. It restored my faith in what we can be when we lead with love and creativity.

This year I had the honor of helping @jtpo bring an art installation to the playa. @abovethenoise.art was our gift to the BRC citizens. It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, physically and emotionally, and worth every drop of sweat and tear. Watching so many people connect with it, from musicians we admire to strangers who turned out to be gifted artists, we gave them a platform to live their dream over sunrises, sunsets, and even whiteouts.

BM is so much more than DJ sets and parties. It’s people bringing their most vulnerable creative work to a temporary city that will never happen the same way twice — and being met with an openness you don’t find anywhere else.

(Or, in the wise words of Bethenny Frankel: “you’d be stupid to define New York City by a couple of nail salons and strip clubs.”
