🗓 Season Announcement 🗓 It's a pleasure to announce that I will be returning the @royalballetandopera next season, with some very exciting roles, and a brand new production of Un ballo in maschera directed by Philipp Stölzl! This company and this building have been a second home to me these past 2 years, so it is truly a joy to be able to come back so soon - looking forward to it! 📣 [Announcement!] 📣 This is a really exciting bit of news - Don Giovanni is one of my favourite Operas; the drama, the comedy, the complexity and richness of Mozart's music and Da Ponte's text truly make this opera a masterpiece, and Leporello is a role I've been looking forward to for a very long time! Cannot wait to get to grips with this incredible piece, and make my @opera_de_lausanne debut! Ahhhh how lovely is the love amongst family... It was such an unbelievably joyous experience getting to do my first Gianni Schicchi here in Verbier for the @verbierfestival! It was incredible to work with so many amazing and talented people. Sir Bryn Terfel gave a total masterclass of singing, comedy and performance right from the very first note in rehearsal, and Maestro @andrea_battistoni_maestro’s incredible clarity, detail, and devotion to the music truly brought out the best of us all. Lots of love to my onstage family; everyone brought so much energy to this piece that it was truly electric! This was something I’ll never forget! Perks of the job ✨️ @royalballetandopera making dreams come true as I get to try on Escamillo's iconic costume of lights as part of covering the role! I'll be jumping in to rehearsals tomorrow morning as my colleague is unavailable, and this has definitely been a great warm-up! by @ossianhuskinson

For a long time now, a part of me has been aching to get out of the city, and it was finally time to listen. Hiking along the gorgeous Kentish coastline, enjoying a slower, more deliberate pace, and soaking up the beautiful surroundings was a hundred times more restorative than staying in bed, and just goes to show that rest can mean something different to everyone! How do you guys take time for yourself on a day off? ____________________________________ Photodump to follow! by @ossianhuskinson
