OUT NOW! - Izzy Ment sowie Albertine Sarges und Sebastian Eppner (von Ostia) tauchen in Ambient-Sphären ab und erinnern an Größen wie Aphex Twin, Laurie Anderson und Oneohtrix Point Never. In der neusten Shutters Studio Residency verlieren sich die drei Multiinstrumentalist*innen in einer der größten Synthesizer-Sammlungen Deutschlands, im Hamburger Flakbunker an der Feldstraße. Next Up: Albertine Sarges, Izzy Ment & Ostia!

Für unser nächstes Release hatten wir die große Ehre drei Berliner Künstler*innen einzuladen, die irgendwo zwischen Ambient, Kraut und Indie ihren ganz eigenen Sound gefunden haben.

Gemeinsam haben sie diese Vision zum Leben erweckt - entstanden ist eine exklusive Live Version von Hachi’s Theme, ein Song, der der Band besonders am Herzen liegt. Ursprünglich für Katzen geschrieben, ist er nun auch für euch gedacht.

Song und Video zu „Hachi’s Theme“ erscheinen morgen, am 8. Oktober. Stay tuned!

For our next release, we had the great honor of inviting three Berlin-based artists who have found their very own sound somewhere between ambient, krautrock, and indie.

Together, they brought this vision to life, creating an exclusive live version of Hachi’s Theme, a song that is particularly close to the band’s heart. Originally written for cats, it is now also intended for you.

The band name Ostia means…

A) the bread used during the Holy Communion, which represents the body of Christ in the ritual. The word comes from the Latin “hostia,” meaning “sacrificial victim” or “offering.”

B) The ancient town in Italy, Ostia Antica, which was the harbor city of ancient Rome.

C) A slang term used in some latin-speaking countries, often used as an expletive or expression of surprise, frustration, or anger, like “damn!” or “wow!”

Celebrate our record release with us and our fantastic guests on Oct 9th at Lark. Ticket link in bio ✨ Pre-sale link for vinyl in bio.

Many know @bowsertattoos for her skin art, but not everyone knows she's also a licensed Bob Ross painter. We asked her to paint a little Fiat Panda for our album cover. As a hint to our love for the 80's and Italy, it rushes through the dark Alps with its fierce headlights. This album is full of stories and vibes that we picked up on our tours through Italy. Be it Karma Algoritmo, with the triumphant anti-vibes of the squats we played. Be it our cover from Matia Bazar's Vacanze Romane, about the eternal city of Rome in all its ugliness and beauty. Be it the story of Italy-German boxer legend Graciano Rocchigiani and how the sky burned above him. A favorite is Tonight, where a tender Trans-Europa Express becomes the means of exploring not only geographical but also personal territory.

We hope you enjoy listening to this music and the beautiful album artwork as much as we do!

"Tonight (fammi sapere)" is out today via @intrntexplrr. It's a love song between East and West Berlin, between north and south of the alps, its a wish to overcome differences with curiosity and tenderness.
