Looking for your community at Ohio State before you even step on campus? Find Your Community Before Classes Even Begin.

The Program for Advancing Scholarship & Service (PASS) is a first-year learning community for Arts and Sciences students who are passionate about leadership, service, personal growth, and academic success.

But what students love most about PASS isn’t a program—it’s the people.

PASS helps you find your place, build meaningful friendships, and discover opportunities that will shape your Ohio State experience from day one.

⏰ Applications close June 15th.

Ready to lead, serve, and grow?

Meet your 2025–2026 PASS Peer Leaders!
———
We are truly honored to serve this year’s PASS cohort and grateful to be part of such a dedicated team committed to equity, connection, and scholar success. Each of us second years brings a unique perspective and a shared commitment to supporting our PASS scholars as they navigate the academic year, build community, and grow into their goals. We are so lucky to give back to a community that gave so much to us in our first-year!

As we move into the remainder of the school year, we’re excited to continue this work with the same energy, compassion, and intention that define the PASS program. We’re here to uplift, empower, and advocate for every scholar we serve.

Stay connected with us and follow along for updates on upcoming events, resources, and all the meaningful work happening in the months ahead. The best is yet to come. ✨

Midterms got us all camped out at the library, so we hit pause for some creative therapy. 🖌️💭 This past week’s PASS meeting was all about tote bag decorating, good vibes, and giving our brains a break from the chaos.

Sometimes self-care looks like painting outside the lines, laughing with friends, and remembering there’s more to college than stress. 🎨✨

Last month, PASS Scholars stepped beyond campus to serve at the Good Neighbors Picnic, collaborating on everything from children’s activities, shopping for essentials to serving food for unhoused families in Central Ohio. By capturing moments on the digi cam—all smiles and real connections—we witnessed firsthand how empathy and service create lasting memories. It’s these shared snapshots of joy and community that define PASS and inspire us to do more! by @osu_pass

Yesterday, we wrapped our two week watch of the movie Get Out by Jordan Peele. We discussed the movie in small groups then in a large group how it relates to the world today and the realities within the movie that can be seen in our society. Closing this meeting, we had a presentation from our peer leader, Nia that discussed voting and its importance for everyone to vote. by @osu_pass

This past Saturday, Pass Scholars were able to serve the community by participating in the Good Neightbor Picnic. Pass Scholars were able to help with children activities, food lines, personal shoppers and more. It was a great experience to interact with the community outside of Ohio State‼️ by @osu_pass
