A Hui Hou to my beautiful students and the schools I’ve had the privilege of working with this year! As a first-year OT graduate, I was so excited to begin my journey in a school-based position, but I never could have imagined just how much this job, my students, the teachers and staff, and my coworkers would come to mean to me.

This past school year has been so magical and truly one of the best years of my life. Becoming a licensed OT was already such an incredible milestone, but getting to meet such amazing people who showed me the true meaning of aloha made this experience even more special.

I will forever cherish the opportunity I had to work with my ohana on the west side in Nanakuli and Maili, and I will never forget the beautiful students I had the privilege of working with this year. As an OT, I get this question all the time, “So you help people find jobs?” NO! Occupation doesn’t just mean a job. It means the daily tasks or activities you engage in, which can be your job or other things! 💚

Handwriting Development! ✏️ I’ll be the first to admit this is one of my least favorite areas to address in my OT sessions because so many students consider it a non-preferred!
