Happy birthday to our mayor, @jeromyyyc / Jeromy Farkas! 🎉 I've had the pleasure of photographing him at both @calgaryexpo and @otafest. We invited him to Otafest, where he joined us for a tour on Saturday, then came back on his own the next day for the closing ceremonies. That really spoke to how much he enjoyed being part of the event. Weirdly enough, he shares his birthday with the awesome @jenchanshaw, Chair of Otafest and also Sailor Moon! Happy birthday to Jenny as well! 🎂🎈 . . . . 📸by @thugshells & @anilainyyc on pics with me in them #birthday #cityofcalgary #conventions #cosply #mario #yyc #mayor by @otafest
Because of you @otafest 💙 Because of your dedication to creating opportunities for young people, children, youth, and families had the chance to experience the excitement, creativity, and community of Otafest 2026. Through interactive activities, inspiring performances, and opportunities to connect with others who share their passions, attendees were able to build confidence, make new friends, and create unforgettable memories in a welcoming and inclusive environment. The event was a reminder of the power of community and the impact that one person, organization, or supporter can have when they invest in experiences that bring people together. Opportunities like this encourage self-expression, foster belonging, and create moments of joy that extend far beyond the event itself. Thank you to the organizers of Otafest 2026 and everyone who helped make this incredible experience possible. Your generosity and commitment helped create meaningful moments that attendees will remember for years to come. Otafest 2026, it's about more than just a festival. It's about connection, belonging, and creating experiences that inspire the next generation. THANK YOU 💙 #BecauseOfYou #KidsUpFront #Otafest2026 #Calgary #Interactive #AllAccess #ThankYou by @otafest
