with cultural and natural elements from micronesia and melanesia (specifically papua new guinea, marshall islands, yap, chuuk, belau, islas marianas, and fiji) this design was created to showcase the both the similarities and ingenuity and beauty of our distinct regions

at a loss for words for just how meaningful this was for me to show my art alongside my dad at a micronesian and melanesian art gathering at home in the bay (swipe to end for a batik my dad made that was the cover of the 1985 bank of guam calendar) 🫀🥹 grateful to have shared space and experienced vending as an artist! @weaving.currents

un dångkulo na saina ma’åse to @1kc_tica and everyone who had a hand in organizing the event as well as everyone who purchased a print or sticker! because of y’all i was able to donate to @micronesiaclimatealliance @teamkoka @ohala.foundation typhoon sinlaku relief efforts 🇲🇵🩵

i hope to print another edition of the risograph and get my website up soon to continue to sell my prints and stickers for sinlaku fundraising but in the meantime check out sinlakuaid.org and stormkokua.com for kona low relief efforts. climate change most impacts those who least contribute to it, namely our islands, so pot fabot consider donating on this earth day 🌎 and reflecting on your impact on the islands you vacation to. by @otainatongo

everyday i am a person of the land (indigenous)
everyday i am chamoru

we are all on native land. what do you know about the land you reside on and the original caretakers of that land? what are you doing to connect with and support and protect the land and those people? how are you tending to and building relationship with the lands you are traveling to and it’s people?

[we recorded this version of tuleti on a school night after a million takes for our ucla pacific island club performance a couple years ago. sym to my bestie/prima for singing w me despite being even more puyitos than me🥲no shaming of her pronunciation will be tolerated 🫵🏽🚫 so proud of us for repping our islands from 6k miles away🥥🌴🩵
