August 2026 recap:
@darlingagentstarling isn’t impressed with the heat
Our Aussie besties Sheryn and Dave visited us! We met on a transatlantic cruise, became fast friends, stayed with them in Melbourne and they stayed with us in Oakland (and now NYC!)
The city is so cool
Amie and I caught Schmigadoon. I saw her in St. Thomas and now she’s visited me in NY (is this a trend?)
The tree didn’t want @hi2ny2ca2ny in the picnic photo
Morning walks through Central Park now means lots of construction. The Bethesda Fountain is closed for repairs for a year.
Fam trip to the @omnihomestead was a fantastic experience: this resort is older than the USA, founded in 1767 for the healing waters of the nearby Warm Springs, 24 Presidents have stayed there, Jefferson for three weeks. No joke, an hour float in the mineral waters and any pain (carpool tunnel, arthritis) I felt was gone. The great hall was stunning, and I golfed for the first time in nearly 10 years (won the longest drive contest, and nearly hit the green on a par four).
Rooftop drinks at the @empirestatebldg and a full moon. Chuck Bass wasn’t there.
Summers in Central Park means the roller skates/blades come out. Sick beats and skating, I’m so there next summer.

July recap, part dos, because so much happened last month:
Taking selfies can be hard with @hi2ny2ca2ny and @vanessagutierrezmcmahan
Overnight stay at The Wall Street Hotel and a walking tour of early USA
Cvent Connect was yuge, 5,000 attendees gotta eat, network, and watch @carlypearce perform.
Some of the punny names people gave their bottle of whiskey.
Walks with @darlingagentstarling through the park.
Starling is part wolf, but Shakira is a She Wolf.
Working on my fitness
@hi2ny2ca2ny and @kathfri9 and I made it to the Top of the World, photo of our photo, 102 floors up.

My Grandma had the same painting at the bottom (I now have it). I guess it’s not original.

March photo dump:
Business class trip to Barcelona. Got to hang out with Uncle Danny and @rosariomcfaull and see the @basilicasagradafamilia, a flamenco show, @rcdespanyol football game, photos and videos of wannabe influencers, joined the women’s march, and all the jamon iberico I could get my hands on.
Masquerade, an immersive Phantom of the Opera.
Finished the Game Changers audio books - some serious hockey smut!
Visit by @lapigg and Valerie with a walk through @centralparknyc and a first time at @katzsdeli.
Broadway Backwards, Death Becomes Her, and Titanique…and Shen Yun is at Lincoln Center (but don’t worry we didn’t go see that cult).
Marched in the @nokings.usa march, and immediately after saw a group of Mennonite kids singing in the subway - what a day. by @othankevin

February photo dump.
Anniversary dinner celebration with some Onion Soup, my first time at Carnegie Hall to see @isabelleonardny sing “Somewhere” from West Side Story.
We hosted our neighbors for a building happy hour.
A work trip to LA let catch up with @frank_tierney @kct_pov and @ggochin and Russ, plus a trip down memory lane to my old apartment, and to see the end of Route 66 (the other end is in Ptown!). Oh, and the man on the left was the Governator walking through our hotel.
Celebrating the Lunar New Year with @meganmgmiller and @tomatocando in NYC.
And then another work trip to Miami - a nice reprieve from a massive snow storm, and while we had two flight cancellations and three hotel stays, we found time for dinner with @kathfri9 and @erinbaw at the Versayce Mansion (you probably couldn’t tell by the just the roof).
