OH!Tanglung at The High Street Studios for KL Festival 2026Do you still remember the way you weave when the seasons arrive?Come, sit for a while with OH!Tanglung, now until 12 June ’26OH!Tanglung is an intimate installation by Sumay Cheah, presented as a prelude to OH!Tenang: Tanglung Stories, unfolding in Penang later this year.Paying homage to everyday craft, shaped by the hands of ordinary people, the installation draws inspiration from the Wau, traditional kite from Malaysia. Skeletal Tanglung structures are suspended in space, each line gently held together as one would bind a Wau, formed through thread and Chinese knotting.Inspired by my late grandfather,and his seasons of weaving as a way of life.Time was never measured,only felt in how things form, age, remain, and renew.Take home a flower bookmarkIn collaboration Studio Kozé whose scent fills the space and by using OtherHalf’s unused threads, OH!Kindness Ripples invites visitors to take home a small flower bookmark, a gesture of quiet blessing and exchange.#OHTanglung #OHKindnessRipples #KLFest #MyThinkCity#ArtsFAS2026 YayasanHasanah by @otherhalfstudio
