We are so happy to announce this project “Japan Editions - Nagoya & Osaka Ambient”on Rubicon of @splice 🩵🩵🩵 This is a wonderful sound project directed by Erin @tristan.arp (Tristan Arp / Asa Tone), one of our favorite and most sympathetic artists, and is filled with sound material we have created. This sound pack features the ambient scene in Nagoya and Osaka, Japan. We are delighted to feature the ambient scene in Nagoya and Osaka and honored to be a part of it. We hope inspiration will rain down on those who use this sound pack! Thanks to Erin, and Abentis @abentis , who is a key person in this project and whose "Melodic Leftfield Bass" was recently released on splice and is also excellent, and Methoee @ku_______ ,Takahiro @fukayatakahiro_ for the making beautiful movie, Nagisa @mynameisnagisa for the translation, and LOVE @lovestore for providing the location! . 深夜東京 #24 Chie Otomi @otomi_chie ※This is an excerpt from '深夜東京 #24'. The full English and Japanese interview is available via the link in bio. ⸻ 1. Could you briefly introduce yourself? I’m an electronic musician based in Osaka. Recently, I’ve also been organizing a temporary listening space for a limited period of time. 5. Is there a particular memory of Tokyo late at night or around dawn that has stayed with you? My first live show in Tokyo was at Kagurane @kagurane_tokyo . After the show, everyone somehow got carried away, and we ended up drinking at the counter until around three in the morning. After that, I took a taxi back to my hotel. Sitting in the taxi, I remember thinking, “Wow… there’s actually a day in my life when I play a show in Tokyo and take a taxi home in the middle of the night.” It gave me this strange sense of wonder about life. I still remember looking out of the window at Tokyo passing by in the middle of the night. 10. Is there someone you would like to see again, or somewhere you would like to return to? Sometimes I feel that way about places or shops that no longer exist. A place I once went to with someone I’ll probably never see again disappears too, and then I think: So now, I can only return to it through fragments of memory. 11. If you had to describe Tokyo today in one word, what would it be? Fascinating. ⸻ 1. 簡単に自己紹介をお願いします。 大阪を拠点に活動する電子音楽家。 最近はリスニングスペースを期間限定で開催したりもしてます。 5. 深夜から朝方にかけての東京で、印象に残っている時間はありますか？ 東京での初ライブを神楽音 @kagurane_tokyo でさせてもらったんですが、ライブ終わった後になんか盛り上がって、カウンターで3時くらいまで飲ませていただき、その後タクシーでホテルへ帰るということがあり、タクシーの中で「東京でライブしてタクシーで夜中に帰る日がくるとは…！」とちょっと人生のワンダーを感じつつ、窓から深夜の東京を眺めていた時間を覚えてます。 10. もう一度会いたい人や、もう一度訪れたい場所はありますか？ もう一度訪れたいと思うのは、無くなった場所とかお店に対して思ったりもします。 もう会わない人と行った場所が無くなった、とかは、もう記憶の断片でしかたどること出来ないのねーとか思ったりします。 11. 今の東京を、一言で表すとしたら？ 魅力的 ⸻ 深夜東京 Stories, memories, and personal moments from people who have crossed paths with Tokyo. by @otomi_chie
