I used to hate school presentations, and now I find myself on stage beside @phil.rosenthal , one of the biggest foodies in the world! Moderating his sold out live tour in Ottawa at a collage I use to go to. 🎤 From watching him on Netflix and visiting countries he’s been to, this was one of the best experiences Ive had to date.

I knew this would be an opportunity I would regret if I didn’t take it. So here I am on stage, grateful for the opportunity that was given to me and for all those people who have supported me. THANK YOU! ♥️

This sandwich 🤤🍕 The burrata on fresh pizza dough is SO good.

I stopped by Tennessee Willems to try their burrata sandwich, and it’s packed with prosciutto, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh arugula, and creamy burrata all served on fresh pizza dough. 😍🍅🧀

If you’re looking for a great happy hour, they have one every day from 4–6 PM with $6 pints 🍺 and $11 glasses of wine 🍷. Mondays are half-price bottles of wine 🍾, Tuesdays feature $6 pints, Wednesdays are $12 cocktail night 🍸, and they also have rotating pizza specials like the jerk chicken pizza with mango salsa and Havarti. 🍕🔥

Gatineau newest Izkaya opened up 8 months ago! Kane and his wife runs a genuinely great restaurant that you should check out and support. They’ve got a cute patio out back, and while they’re still working on getting their liquor license, you can enjoy some Japanese soft drinks in the meantime. Fresh fish daily, family-run heart, and food that keeps us coming back. 🍶🥢

We started with the wagyu gyoza, negi miso soup, steak tofu teriyaki, and calamari frit.

Then moved into red tuna as our nigiri/sashimi top, with a full 12-piece nigiri/sashimi plate.

On the roll side, we went with the Amoureux de Saumon (salmon on salmon, avocado, cucumber).

We also had the Volcan Épicé (torched spicy salmon with tempura bits over a dynamite roll, finished with three sauces).

Plus the Godzilla roll (spicy tuna, capelin, unagi, avocado, cucumber).

We wrapped it all up with the mousse short cake for dessert.

Ottawa’s newest chicken spot in Chinatown 🍗✨

KOZHI is a modern fried chicken experience located at 820 Somerset Street West, Ottawa, Ontario 🍗

The chicken was super crispy, but one of our favourites was definitely the Ghee Roast 🤤🍗 The scallion salad and banchan were also so good, especially the refreshing cucumbers and pickled radish 🥒

We started with the comforting and tasty soup to open up our palate, and honestly, the entire experience felt so elevated. We can’t wait to see what KOZHI comes up with next and come back for cocktails because they were so good 🍸

$55 gets you the full four-course Super Kozhi experience, including the crispy chicken, soba noodles, palate cleanser and ice cream!

I recently collaborated with Dumouchel Meats and got a behind-the-scenes look at how they break down a whole side of beef. 🥩 From cutting fresh ribeye steaks to separating the different primal cuts, it was really interesting to see where all your favourite cuts come from and what each one is used for.

Legit giving me Toronto Chinese food court prices 🤯

I got BBQ pork, roasted pork, and broccoli over rice for just $9.99. 🍖🥦🍚 Where can you even find a $10 meal nowadays? 😅

I also grabbed 4 pieces of tofu for $3 and a drink for $2, so my whole lunch came to about $16. 🙌

They also have roast duck on rice for just $12.99! 🦆🍚 This is probably the closest you’ll get to old-school Toronto pricing these days. 😂

It’s not the prettiest , to be honest, but it was absolutely packed—and that’s usually a good sign. Can’t complain for that price 👀🔥
