Since 2012, the Ottawa Express has been igniting youth leadership both on and off the court! 🏀🔥

Last week, we celebrated Black History Month with an inspiring game featuring the Woodroffe High School team.

These games go far beyond basketball, they build confidence, strengthen education, and help shape the next generation of leaders in our community.

Thank you to ITG for helping us set up these high school games. As always, we thank our city employees and dedicated community leaders who continue to show up, support, and pour into our youth.

For Black History Month,

The Ottawa Express faced off against the Earl of March High School basketball team in a game that meant more than the scoreboard.

We’ve been building these moments since 2012, creating opportunities, uplifting culture, and inspiring the next generation year after year.

Huge respect to @itgcanada for helping organize it.

And most importantly, we couldn’t do any of this without our community leaders and volunteers.

🔹 @gymrxt just wrapped his first pro season in Iceland 🇮🇸. He’s a former Ottawa PHX standout, 3x city champ, National Prep Champion with CTA, and Lakehead U alum. Leader. Mentor. Hooper.

🔹 @_yungclutch3 is an Ottawa legend — Algonquin’s All-Time Leading Scorer, OCAA 6th Man of the Year, Male Athlete of the Year, and assistant coach of the ONL-X Senior National Team.

These two are bringing elite skills, leadership, and real game knowledge to the next generation 🔥
