Ottawa Is Not Boring has merch!! 📣I can’t describe how happy and excited I feel to see that my blog’s merch is finally real! 😍Back in 2020, when I created Ottawa Is Not Boring for academic purposes (I was taking a short online course with the University of Toronto), I referred to it as my “baby” during my final project presentation to the teacher and classmates, and I expressed my wish to continue it beyond the course. And that’s exactly how I feel about my blog. It’s like my kid, and now my kid has reached a new milestone: having its own merch! And that feels amazing to me! ✨Hope you all like it. ☺️To celebrate the launch, there’s a 3-day sale with discounts, so take advantage of it while it lasts! The products are available in my store. The link is in my bio.And if you get some merch, send me a picture of you wearing it and I’ll feature you on my stories! Can’t wait to see who’s going to be the first one!And truly, thank you all so much for the support throughout these years. None of this would be possible without this amazing community. ❤️#ottawaisnotboring #ottawablogger #merch #ottawainfluencer #ottawablog by @ottawaisnotboring

Looking for the perfect small-town escape less than an hour from Ottawa? ✨Located about 50 km from downtown Ottawa (around a 45-minute drive), Almonte is one of the cutest towns you’ll ever visit. With its charming historic streets, beautiful stone buildings, and cozy atmosphere, it’s easy to see why it has been used as a filming location for movies and TV productions. One of its best-kept secrets is a hidden waterfall right in the middle of town. It’s the perfect spot to pause, take in the view, and snap a few photos. After that, spend hours wandering through Almonte’s unique boutiques, antique shops, and vintage stores, you never know what treasures you’ll find. When you’re ready for lunch, you can grab a table at Joe’s Italian Kitchen, and enjoy delicious pizzas with a beautiful view of the waterfall. If you’re looking for a charming day trip filled with history, shopping, great food, and postcard-worthy views, Almonte should definitely be on your list.Have you been to Almonte yet? ❤️#almonte #roadtrip #exploringontario by @ottawaisnotboring

One place where FUN lives in Ottawa is City Hall Salsa, a summer tradition that the City Hall has been hosting for several years. The energy is amazing! 💃🕺So many people come to learn Salsa and stay for social dancing afterwards until 10 PM. And the best part? You don’t need a partner! The dynamic of the class allows you to mingle with other participants and dance with different people throughout the evening. It’s such a fun atmosphere! And it’s not only Salsa, other Latin rhythms are taught here too.So, plan your next Wednesday evening at City Hall! You can pair this activity with the Wood Terrace Series, which starts at 7:30 PM at the National Arts Centre. And there’s even more: starting next Wednesday, July 29, there will be a fireworks show in the city around 9:15 PM, visible from Laurier Bridge or Mackenzie King Bridge, just steps away from City Hall.Tag a friend who would love this! 🎶When: Every Wednesday until August 26, (except Aug 5 and 12)Where: City Hall, 110 Laurier Ave W.Haven fun!! 💃#summerfun #salsadancing #thingstodoinottawa #ottawaevents #ottawaisnotboring by @ottawaisnotboring

The newest swimming spots with amazing views of Parliament Hill in Ottawa are such a hit! 🌊☀️Have you seen them? 👀They’re so popular that people are even going for a swim during their lunch break. 🏊Last weekend, just days after the official opening, the Canadian Museum of History dock welcomed 300 visitors! 🙌Kudos to the National Capital Commission for creating more public spaces for people to enjoy in Ottawa. 👏Things to know:🕒 They’re open 24/7. ⚠️ No lifeguards on duty. Swim at your own risk. 🌊 The water is deep. 🐶 No dogs are permitted on the docks.📍East Wharf Dock 🍦 Food truck on site for refreshments and ice cream. 🚻 Washrooms are nearby in Major’s Hill Park.📍Canadian Museum of History Dock 🦺 Free life jackets are available to borrow.Enjoy!#ottawafun #summertime #swimming #thingstodoinottawa #ottawaisnotboring by @ottawaisnotboring

If you haven’t seen the hidden stairs next to Parliament Hill, this is your sign to visit them. 👀Not only are the views amazing, but it’s also such a unique place. Picture yourself walking down 286 steps toward the river shore, surrounded by some of the greenest foliage in the city. Now picture doing this in the fall. I bet you can already imagine the stunning landscape! The colours must be absolutely out of this world. ✨Once you reach the bottom, walk east toward the Ottawa Locks, and you’ll also spot the new East Wharf dock facing Parliament. You can walk all the way there and enjoy an ice cream from the food truck located at the dock. How to find the stairs:From the Centennial Flame, walk to the left of Parliament Hill. Head toward the statue of Queen Victoria, then you’ll see a lookout and a path on the right. Follow the path, and the entrance to the stairs is right there.#thingstodoinottawa #exploring #hiddengem #ottawafun #ottawaontario by @ottawaisnotboring
