Today we remember our first autumn with Otto. This was probably the only time he was curious about a pumpkin! I remember buying it thinking it would be a perfect size for him!
October 17 was when we met Otto for the first time. He was little but had the longest tail and he curled it around my leg to say hello. Another curiosity - for the first few months, Otto had some strands of black fur on top of his head.

Dear friends. We have seen and read all your beautiful messages and posts.
We have felt your love and compassion, a light of comfort in our moments of great pain and grief.
Today, we remember the days in our first home where Otto had rabbit friends next door. His greatest joy was to sit in the garden and make heroic attempts to climb that fence to say a big hello.
Otto's ashes came back to us today. 🌈 We don't have a garden of our own. Our wish is to return him to a place he would have loved to explore.
We love this community. We need a little time to restart our life. We will return. ❤️ by @otto_gatto

Look up to the sky, my friends. I have flown up so high across the rainbow to see all my old furriends who have been waiting for me. 🌈

We said goodbye to Otto this morning.
In October 2015, Otto came and changed our lives. This October, we start a new path without him, changed for the better for knowing him.
Today celebrate his life with us, 11 beautiful years together. by @otto_gatto

Hi everypawdy. We're ok. The challenge since Weds is the big D - diarrhea. 💩
Remember we said Otto switched his preference to fish? Well, we stupidly tried too many new things and learnt that his intestines are now supersensitive.
So we're back to the feeding tube to the original gastrointestinal food Otto was on (which he doesn't willing eat). Keep your paws crossed that we can get over this soon.
We have never had the D- Battle. We would love to hear your experience - how have you managed such flare-ups? by @otto_gatto

We are especially pleased to see the return of the 'Grumpy - you need to feed me now- face'. Otto has started eating by himself.

Dear friends. It has been a long 2 weeks and we can finally share some news about Otto. The blockage was removed and Otto's abdomen is healing well. The biopsy unluckily shows cancer, which has spread. The focus now is to give Otto the right pain and antinausea meds that he needs to eat independently - he still needs a feeding tube. Otto has been so very brave, putting up with all the visits, meds, bandages, feeds. We are a wreck inside but we are trying our very best to create a happy and positive environment for him. Thank you for all your kind messages, they give us courage and strength to face this moment. by @otto_gatto

Dear friends. Otto had his operation this morning to remove the mass that was in the small intestine. Tonight they will tell us when we can see him tomorrow. The results will only come in 2 weeks to determime next steps. We are focusing on his recovery in this critical period to bring us to the next bridge to cross. by @otto_gatto

Dear friends. We are still waiting for the results - the new date is now Thursday if we are lucky. Otto is stable - he was eating too little and losing weight so we are now syringe feeding him urgent care liquid food every 3-4 hours. He obviously doesn't like it but lets us do it - our brave boy. He is alert but we can see he's uncomfortable at times, trying to digest the small quantities of food. It's sleepless nights for us at the moment. Will Friday not come any sooner? 🐌 by @otto_gatto
