Some days you just don’t feel like training.

You’re tired. It’s hot, cold, raining. Work, family, life—there’s always a reason not to.

Get out and get after it anyway.

The enemy gets a vote. He decides when, where, and how.

I’m extremely fortunate to call @sanctum1791 my home range. Multiple pistol bays, a 200-yard tactical range, state-of-the-art facilities, locker rooms, clean showers and bathrooms—and most importantly, AC. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to train.

Find a range you love. Make it part of your routine.

Make sure your “good enough” is actually good enough to keep the promise you made to your family.

The job isn’t finished. Keep training.

It’s no longer enough to ask: “How much does this equipment weigh?”
We also need to ask: “How much attention does it require?”

Decades have been spent reducing the physical load on the warfighter. But there’s another kind of weight that doesn’t show up on a scale: cognitive load.

Today’s warfighter must process multiple sources of information—often within seconds.

As technology delivers more capability, it should demand less attention from the operator, not more.

That philosophy applies even to something as fundamental as a push-to-talk device.
