Aavistus Festival presents - DJ OW

As part of the DWSC and Fruits Sonores collectives, DJ OW is a familiar face from the clubs of Helsinki and the Päiväntasaaja radioshow on IDA Helsinki.

Fruits Sonores: Music for Aperitif

Fruits Sonores takes over the Friday Aperitif hours on the Senate Square Summer Terrace for the whole summer!

Every Friday from 16 to 19 until August 22, the collective’s DJs play gems and rarities from their record collections. Styles are free of boundaries and they float around balearic, cosmic, mediterrannean, tropical and obscure moods.

The event is free of charge. Welcome!

Fruits Sonores equals DJ Jese, Maria Wesander and DJ OW. The trio shares a love for record hunting and music across genres. They have recently joined forces to form a collective of joy, charm and versatile music.

DJ Jese enjoys records and is always looking for new second-hand items to his collection without limitations of genre or style. For him an integral part of being a DJ is also the traditional crate digging activity, a continuous hunt for new records. Besides spending his spare time in the record stores, he’s a regular in the booths of Helsinki’s top clubs. On his Jese’s Discovery Channel on YouTube, he presents his under-the-radar record findings to other enthusiastic diggers and music lovers.

Maria Wesander is a music enthusiast and DJ known for her vinyl sets that combine various musical styles. She plays everything from slow-paced atmospheric pieces to sparkling disco and solid house. Maria is always on the hunt for new records, and in her sets, rare gems blend seamlessly with underground classics. Maria is a regular sight in Helsinki’s top clubs and bars.

DJ OW is an ambassador of warm and gentle grooves, hunting records from all over the world. In his record bag, genres and moods blend smoothly and lots of joy is transmitted to the dance floor. DJ OW is familiar from the clubs of Helsinki, the Päiväntasaaja radio show on IDA Helsinki and the Danny Wu Sound Community. by @ottowille

Monday is a special day! We will host the 100th episode of our beloved Päiväntasaaja show! 💯

Started at Basso on 2018, reborn on IDA Helsinki in 2020, Päiväntasaaja has been serving the delightful warm grooves and international disco for seven years already. 💃🪩🕺🌍
