#WhySLB: When I first came to OU, I never thought greek life was something for me, and joining a fraternity was something I never imagined myself doing. However, meeting the brothers of Sigma Lambda Beta completely changed my perspective. From the beginning, I felt welcomed, accepted, and truly seen for who I was. What drew me even more to SLB was what the organization stands for as a multicultural fraternity. I really value its emphasis on cultural awareness, celebrating diversity, and bringing people from different backgrounds together. Most importantly, SLB has helped me find a community where I feel like I truly belong. It has given me a home away from home and a family that I know will always have my back.

#WhySLB: I chose Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. because I saw an opportunity to become part of something bigger than myself. SLB has opened doors for me to grow, build connections, and surround myself with brothers who genuinely want to see each other succeed. What stood out to me most was the brotherhood and the sense of family that came with it. Being away from home, having people I can depend on, learn from, and create lifelong memories with means a lot to me. After meeting the brothers of Sigma Lambda Beta, I quickly saw the strong sense of brotherhood and community within SLB. I wanted to surround myself with people who would push me to be better while also being there for me through the ups and downs of college. Being part of SLB has given me the opportunity to meet people I can genuinely call my brothers, while also helping me grow as a person and become more involved on campus. #WhySLB: Coming to OU, I never saw myself joining any sort of fraternity because as a first generation student I didn’t know if I would find my place. However, I felt welcomed by the brothers and that’s why I joined Sigma Lambda Beta because it’s more than letters, it’s a brotherhood built on culture, accountability, and purpose. Every brother I met genuinely looked out for one another and showed up for the community, not just each other. That’s what pulled me in. The chance to be part of something bigger then myself built on service, accountability, and growth. SLB provides me with resources to allow me to make an impact, and I’m proud to carry that forward with the brothers beside me.
