Daouda Niare | 2028 Wing | 6’5” | Team Iverson / Imhotep Charter

Daouda Niare is an intriguing Wing prospect whose combination of size, length, versatility, and motor makes him an appealing early college recruit. At 6’5” with a 6’10” wingspan, he checks the physical boxes that college programs covet on the perimeter and has the tools to impact the game on both ends of the floor.

Offensively, Niare is a matchup problem because of his versatility. He can overpower smaller defenders on the block with his strength, physicality, and advanced footwork, while also putting bigger, slower defenders on their heels by attacking off the dribble. His ability to stretch the floor with a developing three-point shot adds another dimension to his game, making him a legitimate inside-out scoring threat rather than a position-specific player.

His value extends well beyond scoring. Niare is an active rebounder who attacks the glass on both ends, using his length and explosiveness to secure rebounds and immediately ignite transition opportunities. He runs the floor hard, plays with energy, and consistently creates extra possessions through his effort.

Defensively is where his upside may be highest. His 6’10” wingspan, lateral mobility, and instincts allow him to guard multiple positions, disrupt passing lanes, and provide weak-side rim protection. Few wings in his class possess his ability to erase shots from the perimeter, giving him the potential to become a true defensive difference-maker at the next level.

Perhaps the biggest selling point for college coaches is his approach to development. Niare has earned a reputation for his work ethic and willingness to improve, suggesting there is significant upside still to be unlocked. As his perimeter shooting, ball skills, and decision-making continue to evolve, he projects as a high-upside two-way wing with the physical tools and competitive mindset that fit the modern college game. by @ouda5n
