Camera tests. This is where we tested everything, from costumes, makeup, and props to lighting, lenses, perspectives, and visual effects. A great day where we learned so much before heading into production!

@ortigoza.ci

How do you create a world where everything feels larger for a tiny character?

With imagination, design, and a lot of hands-on craftsmanship. Here’s a look at the creation of the giant props that helped bring the world of Chiquititita to life. @ortigoza.ci by @ouisifilms

Before filming, camera tests were conducted using the oversized props, costumes, hairstyle and the green screen. This day was essential to ensure that the planned technique would work properly and could be successfully implemented during the shoot. by @ouisifilms

Nina debe seguir pintando a pesar de hacerse chiquita.

Nina must keep painting even though she shrinks.

Before filming, we did several location scouts to find the right spaces. Since Nina’s room had to be built from scratch, we needed a place with high ceilings, so we passed on the first option.

The café scene was shot in a house.
The gallery, in an actual gallery.
And the patio… in a patio.

We adjusted the measurements of some garments so that @irmaslejos could wear them while portraying Nina, our main character, whose to height changes throughout the story.

Sound isn’t seen, but it’s what immerses us in the story.
