Worth the Stop: Sushi Ouji, SoHo.

Close to my office, just below the bustle of SoHo, Sushi Ouji feels like a place to slow down for a meal that deserves your attention. We do not go out for raw fish often, so when we do, the quality of the ingredients matters to me. The restaurant says it sources much of its fish from a Japanese fish market and uses rice grown in Hokkaido. The selection follows what is available, making each visit a little different. My favorite way to eat each piece? With clean hands, as it is served. I did not reach for the soy sauce. A small stop that stayed with me.

Save this for a thoughtful sushi night in SoHo. What local place should I visit next?
