College of Pharmacy Advisors Symposium! 🌟

Our COP Team, including Dean Melissa Medina, Student Affairs Director Jennifer Richardson, and Nuclear Pharmacist Philip Hines, presented to school advisors from around the state.

OU College of Pharmacy leadership recently toured the Oklahoma Children’s OU Health Behavioral Health Center with University Hospitals Authority and Trust CEO Randy Dowell and COO Diana Galatian.

The new facility will provide expanded support for children experiencing behavioral health challenges while creating opportunities for OU College of Pharmacy students through clinical rotations and pharmacy services. Congratulations to P4 student Stephanie Shaw on completing the 2025–26 AACP Aspiring Academics program, a national program that prepares Pharm.D. and Ph.D. students for careers in academic pharmacy.

At the AACP Annual Meeting in Grapevine, Texas, Stephanie co-presented "Remediation in Pharmacy Education: Impact on Psychological Factors and Licensure Exam Pass Rates" with peers from Lipscomb University, the University of Iowa and Midwestern University.

Dr. Lourdes Planas and Aya Haworth also presented "Student Pharmacist Perspectives on Gender Differences in Pharmacy Education: A Thematic Analysis," part of the AACP-APhA Rx LEAd Task Force.
