We have been in our new home for just over 12 months now 🏡 Some days it feels like the projects never end… Like the list just keeps getting longer and you’re not actually getting anywhere.
But looking back at old videos today reminded me how much we’ve actually done in just one year. Slow progress is still progress 🤍 Sometimes you just need to look back to realise how far you’ve come ☺️

DIY TV WALL COMPLETE 🤍
I am beyond happy with how our weekend project turned out. It is absolute perfection 🙌🏻 I wanted a very neat & tidy look with no wires or anything to be seen which was a little difficult considering we have a big ugly Foxtel box 😒 But hubby came up with a genius idea & built a ledge inside the bottom floating shelf for our Foxtel box to sit inside of & it is all completely hidden & out of site which I am soooooo happy about haha! 😍👏🏻

What do you guys think!?
Should we add shelving on the other side as well? I’m having trouble deciding.. Let me know what you think we should do!

At what point do I stop calling this a bedroom and start calling it a science experiment? 🧫

Because I’m starting to think it needs to be studied, not cleaned 💀 I’m one unidentified object away from calling in a scientific research team 🦠

Please tell me I’m not the only parent raising a child who lives like this?! Is it a middle child thing?
Seriously, I need to know I’m not alone 😂🙏🏼

Not going to lie, I low-key miss the days when Lenny lived in the house 🥲 The bottles, nappies and the absolute chaos. I still can’t believe we had a sheep living inside like it was completely normal. Would 100% do it again though 😂👏🏻

I’ve had this Instagram page since June 2018… that’s over 8 years! 🤯 And gosh, hasn’t Instagram changed SO much in that time?!

I remember when Instagram was all about sharing photos. Just little snippets of your life, pretty pictures, memories and everyday moments. Now it feels like it’s reels, reels and more REELS! 😅

And don’t get me wrong I love creating reels, but sometimes I really do miss the old Instagram. The days when you could just post a photo without feeling like everything needed to be a video, a trending sound or something to entertain people.

Sometimes I actually prefer scrolling through a good old-fashioned photo dump rather than watching another reel.

So in honour of the old Instagram.. Here’s a few little STILL photos, the way Instagram used to be 🫶🏼

Surely I’m not the only one who misses the old Instagram sometimes?! 🤍

I received the most ✨BEAUTIFUL✨ piece of artwork from @gioia_wall_art And I was so excited, I could NOT wait to put it up! I absolutely love the colours & the texted look of this piece. I wanted something to add some life into our living room for summer & I think this piece has definitely done that! What do you guys think? 🥰 Make sure you go check them out!

I love Christmas just as much as the next person..
But 74 days feels a little aggressive if you ask me 😅
Who else cannot believe how quick the year has gone!? Is it just me? Or is everyone else mentally somewhere back in March? 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Natural homemade weed killer that actually works! 👌🏻
Weeds are the absolute bane of my existence 😅 And with the price of weed killer these days, I wanted to find a cheaper alternative without using conventional weed killers around our farm animals!

I saw this simple 3-ingredient homemade weed killer online and thought I’d share it with you all! 🙌🏼

🌿 THE RECIPE:

• 1 litre white vinegar
• 2 tablespoons table salt
• 2 tablespoons dishwashing liquid

💰 THE PRICE BREAKDOWN:

• White vinegar (1L) – $1.40
• Table salt (2 tbsp) – $0.84
• Dishwashing liquid (2 tbsp) – $0.22

Total: Just $2.46 per batch! 🤯

HOW TO USE:
Mix all 3 ingredients together, pour into a spray bottle and spray directly onto the weeds, preferably on a warm, sunny day! ☀️

Within just 5 hours, I could already see the weeds starting to die off!

⚠️ A little heads-up: This mixture isn’t selective, so avoid spraying plants you want to keep! Salt can also build up in the soil, so it’s best used sparingly. Keep pets and livestock away until the spray has dried and don’t spray anywhere animals might graze.

Save this one for later and let me know if you give it a try! ☺️

Most cows spend their time grazing. Teddy on the other hand gathers information like he works for the CIA 👀😂

We’ve been working on creating the ultimate play area for the kids, and I think it’s safe to say this might just be their favourite project yet! 😍

The trampoline was a must, but the real showstopper has to be our @funkymonkeybars setup! 🙌🏼

Monkey bars for climbing, a flying fox for endless fun and THREE swings because if you have three kids, you know exactly why we needed one each 😂👏🏼

What I love most about Funky Monkey Bars is just how much you can pack into one setup. There’s something for everyone, it encourages the kids to get outside, be active, challenge themselves and most importantly, just be kids!

And the best part? It’s not something they’ll outgrow overnight. It’s a space that can grow with them and keep them entertained for years to come.

After all the hard work that’s gone into creating our little slice of country life, seeing the kids out here playing, laughing and making memories makes it all worth it 🤍
