The small shifts 🏕️

We’ve learnt a few things along the way while camping with kids. Here’s just a few;

🏕️We pack less now — nature does the rest. Think beaches, parks, puddles, collecting feathers etc.

🌊We lean into the magic of doing little things that make camping camping. Reading books by torchlight, marshmallows over the fire, sleeping in sleeping bags etc.

🏕️We leave space for slow mornings. We let go of rushing and stop trying to capture everything on camera. Some moments are just for us.

🌊 We always wind down together by playing a card game, reading a book or enjoying a cup of milo before bed.

Do any of these resonate with you? I’d love to hear what you do while away.

Let me know if you’re keen to hear more too.

Creating spaces for play wherever we can 🤍

I’m always looking for simple ways to make our playroom feel more functional while still keeping the calm.

This magnetic arch wall decal has quietly become one of those little additions that just fits so naturally into our days;

drawing,
magnetic play,
little creations proudly displayed.

It’s a simple change that has made the space feel more used, more loved, and more us ✨

What do you think?

The most popular play this week…

wasn’t a toy or elaborate set up.

It was a shoe shop created from shoes from our wardrobes set up around the playroom. 👞

Nothing fancy, just an idea that grew into days of play, completely led by the kids.

It’s easy to think we need more to keep our children engaged, but moments like this remind me that some of the best play starts with what’s already around us.

Did you ever create little shops as a child?

A few new recipes entering rotation 👀

Putting the saved recipes to good use these school holidays.

Did you catch the squish test from my little helper? 🤭

Could happily have more days like this.

Nowhere to be,
completely lost in dinosaurs,
and taking our best guess at how to pronounce them. 🤎🤪

One lunchbox snack at a time 🤌

Today’s agenda involved the oven and air fryer getting a good work out.

Tell me I’m not the only one who feels wildly accomplished after this? 🤭

Bush Post 🌳

There’s something a little bit special about having to wait for the next chapter. 🥹🪶

Our first Little Bush Post arrived in the letterbox — a story to read, a little treasure to keep, and now a whole month of wondering what might arrive next.

I have a feeling we’ll be checking the letterbox a little more eagerly from now on. 🤍
