an honor to be yours.

september third, twenty six.

seventy and sunny for our wedding day at the cabin. we spent the few days prior hanging bedsheets, buying bags of ice and boxes of beer, having celebratory bonfires day after day. I’ve never laughed harder in a week than I have greeting the family and friends we so adore as they gathered in our favorite place.

we had an intimate wedding, sat under fifty chairs in the front yard where we’ve been staring at the four o’clock light since I spilled the beans to Jake that someday I wanted to marry him up north - admittedly too early on in dating. tbh he was super down and we started writing down the hotels nearby, had a guest list hanging on our fridge long before we bought a home together and he got to sneak a peek at be the Pinterest board.

we wanted intention to surround our wedding day.
intention with how we spent it, the two hour cocktail hour, the largest portion of the budget being for food so we could really ball out, how I designed aspects of my dress to catch more sunlight than it did when I bought it off the rack, the tiny boat ride in the middle just so Jake and I could sneak off for a moments and the handwritten notes to each of our guests.

my favorite part of the day was around 2 am, when Jake and I decided to go for a little walk together. Just around the yard, while we still had people by the campfire laughing. we recapped the day, laughed a few more times, cried a few more times and wished extra extra hard that time would move just a little slower.

love him so much id marry him twice!!

the civil ceremony before; just the two of us, our witness’, a bestie behind a film camera and bill alderson !!

bill decided to surprise us with a full ceremony instead of the quick court version- I cannot thank bill enough from the bottom of my heart.

vowing to adore jake in every universe, in front of friends he fell quickly in love with and I have adored for years will forever be moments I hold dear.

to the artist’s who made the day a bit sweeter, thank you immensely for being apart of our day!!

last summer we decided to spend our lives together. to live out the rest of our days making a date out of wherever we were or whatever we were doing together. to find joy or a joke any chance we can. to leave a light on, and brew the coffee in the morning. we promised to value the honestly in life, both the loudly beautiful and the things we'd both grow from. to celebrate each others accomplishments and pay witness to the things we create together and individually. to remain grounded, yet keep light of whatever came our way and cherish each other kindly. i've been yours since we've met, xo.

a fresh coat of paint and a few portraits that make it feel like yours!

for our 1930s home, we wanted to keep the charm. the idea for this bath was a cozy getaway. Tavern grey was the perfect olive toned paint for the job!

we continued to add dark accents with the walnut blinds and dark wood toilet seat.
