It’s true, most of my stuff is used. My mom was the same way, and as a kid, I was always embarrassed by it even tho I loved buying used just as much as my mom. I would wake up early on Saturday morning and she’d leave the little kids watching Saturday morning cartoons (remember that?!) I always chose yard sales over cartoons😜
I’d only have like $3 max and I would hold out until I found the very best treasure I couldn’t live without (which was Barbie furniture most of the time)

She actually liked taking me to antique shops because we could spend hours there (even tho we technically couldn’t because of the other kids😂) and I would never ask if it was time to go.

As teenagers, my sister and I could decorate where ever we lived because we always got cute, cheap stuff at yard sales. Then when I became a mom it made me realize how amazing my mom was at thrift shopping and how it’s a talent to be able to find random items at different times and somehow make it all work when it came together. I wish I had a pic of my moms house when it was in its prime.
Buying used is something I’ve done my whole life and I don’t know any other way to be honest. It’s ruined me, I have the hardest time buying new things and when I do, I inevitably always return it. (Don’t worry, I buy new sheets, pillows, blankets, towels, etc)
I never meant to write this long caption but obviously, it’s a passion and because it’s so earth friendly, I’ll never stop!

Drove up the mountains to @ballerinafarm because the kids wanted to go to a pumpkin patch. It was perfect! Little country town dream come true. The kids absolutely loved it. Hope she does it next year too.

I got this in 3 days. I’m in Utah and @barebonesliving is in Utah so I got it super quick. We’ve been using it a lot.
Levi was always looking for a little charcoal grill that can be taken anywhere and this one is awesome because you have two charcoal options, one right into the bottom of the pot, or underneath it.
You could also just put it right in your fire pit, with or without the stand.
I love how heavy duty this is, it feels like it will last forever, it’s cast iron after all.

Went to the grand opening of @thedaintypear and I’m in love with everything. Love the vibes, the pretty renovation to the building, and all the cool items Sarah selected.
I already got some awesome food things and I’ve been trying them, it’s given me a bit of motivation to create something delicious, so maybe I’ll share later.
You need to go and check it out, such an awesome addition to Midway! So good….

Sorry about the bugs. I tap them on the side of my sink after I pick them but before I put them in vases because it gets allll the bugs out and then I just wash them away. They’re worth it.

If you don’t know what to make for the Super football game this weekend, I’m pretty sure this sandwich with shoestring fries, caramelized onions, and gooey melted cheese will make everyone happy.
To make it extra special I use @llranchmeats roast beef because it is seriously so good.
This would also be an awesome Valentine’s Day dinner as well, just saying.

I wasn’t going to share this because it’s basically a movie😂 but it’s my favorite night of the year.
All my sisters come, (there’s 8 of us) we all squeeze into my tiny cabin, cook, bake, dance, and laugh until our sides are so sore or we can’t breathe.
It’s not EVER perfect, something or someone is always late, kids running everywhere. And there is always drama. Every single time. But we always talk thru it, always forgive because its a thick, unbreakable chain that binds us together.
They are me, I am them, we are all her. We have all been in each others shoes at different times in our lives and our stories and experiences are woven into each other so tightly sometimes it’s hard to tell where they all begin and end.
We celebrate life, we celebrate being women of this earth, we celebrate the bounty in our lives, we celebrate and honor our matrilineal ancestors that we feel a reminiscent connection to.
It is our Hunter’s Moon night, the last outdoor gathering until Spring.
