What a busy month
1. We now have 5 Indian runner duck babies
2. Daisy, Primrose , Jemima, Mabel and Tilly
3. Our son got engaged!! 💍 🥂
4. Duck eggs are the best!
5. We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary 🥂🥂🥂🥂
6. We escaped for a night to celebrate to St Mawes , and had another sea swim
7. The garden is now covered with Daisys everywhere 🤗
8. The veg patch has had some more love this year in between changeovers and work .
9. The meadow has flourished this year
10. As has all the veg!
What a summer we are getting , the sea is crystal clear and so warm , unfortunately we need some rain …. The farmers are struggling . Let’s hope it comes soon but only at night 😉. by @ourcornwallcottage_

I love this time of year , the evenings cool down and the birds come out for a fly . The bird boxes are all full with chirping babies . ☺️ by @ourcornwallcottage_

Autumn is well and truly upon us , the meadow has been cut down back to grass level . I’ve started to split my daisy plants to make more and more ready for next year . The polytunnel is nearly finished and ready to be put to bed for the winter covered in meadow cuttings . A slower pace as the Airbnb is only full at weekends. I’ve really enjoyed muddy wet walks and colder mornings this autumn , a nice difference as we did have a lovely sunny summer for once!

Well 🥂 cheers every one ! We’ve been in Mulberry Cottage for 3 years! And tonight we are celebrating with the neighbours .
It feels like yesterday and a life time ago we moved here … months and months of renovations and still a list as long as my arm . We’ve been knocking things off the list slowly due to time , money and not wanting to hate getting the jobs done ! This year we have allowed more down time , some fun! 2 businesses have been started here , the Airbnb Shepherds Hut and my Private practise in my Therapy hut. The years haven’t been easy , moving to Cornwall was our dream but buying a 200 yr old cob farm house has been a learning curve! Now the solar panels and air source heating is in its cosy and dry , unlike the first winter we survived 🥶
The new kitchen is the social room with its 2 big doors onto the garden with the old lounge and its ancient wood burner coming into its own in the cosy winters.
As a good friend reminded me today ‘ it was a brilliant and brave decision to move to Cornwall’ and boy oh boy was it!

Another day ☀️ another beach 🏖️… hubby took the day off so we could go for a swim and celebrate me qualifying as a Counsellor 🥂. What a journey! 👩‍🎓 and tomorrow my new career begins … Amy the Counsellor! 🤗

I left you waiting …. So the other night we celebrated my parents 50 th Wedding Anniversary ( 2 yrs late due to reasons I won’t go into) my sister and her family were in the country so we went for it . We’ve managed to keep the surprise for 6 months!
As we used to live in Cyprus as a family many years ago we thought it would only be right for us to celebrate with a Greek Meze .. unfortunately I didn’t capture much of the food I made as it was quickly eaten! I made sure I made our favourites ….
Dolmades, falafel, homous,tzatziki,moussaka, spanakopita, souvlaki, Greek salad ( with home grown pepper) and of-course many homegrown flowers were picked to decorate the evening . by @ourcornwallcottage_

May and June are my favourites!
The garden is finally springing into life and we have an entrance of fox gloves welcoming us as we come through our gate . The colours are so bright against the greenery .
We’ve had some quieter days before the season gets into full swing , reading , completing more of the coastal path with its stunning views . And of course just being … and enjoying precious moments . The garden is full of bird song, almost ear piercing as the baby blue tits, robins and sparrows call for more worms as they strengthen up their wings ready for flight . The sparrows are showing off with their red arrow flying while they prepare for babies and our stunning barn owl glides across our garden at dusk .
