It’s been 3 weeks since this sweet baby girl was awarded the “brave pup” @vca - her resilience, happiness, kindness, playfulness impresses me every day. 💛💛 3 weeks ago, Riley got an ultrasound to look at her high liver enzyme - when at the vet, she had her second seizure (1 month apart from the first) and then her third cluster seizure that evening at home. It was terrifying for us - we took her to ER, kept her overnight, got an MRI and spinal tap because of some inconclusive trauma on her left side of brain. And in amazing news, everything came back negative. 🙏🏼🪄 for seizures, she’s now on keppra 3x a day (likely for life) and for hepatitis, she’s on antibiotics for another 2-weeks. Since then, she’s been doing really well and we’re beyond grateful ❤️ Huge shout out to this strong puppy! I say puppy even though she is 9.5 years old 🤫 but will always be my puppy, hehe - We love you so much Riley! 😍✨ never stop being your beautiful self and keep being brave bringing us so much joy and love every day! 🥰❤️

Hi furriends! 👋🏼 quick little update - I had a scary seizure Saturday morning 5am where I just froze for 1-2 min, but I’m doing well and in high spirits. My pawrents stayed by my side and took me to vet. My liver enzyme has been increasing for the last year - I’m getting older 😢- but we’ll be doing more tests (bio-acid and ultrasound) to see if we can figure out what’s happening and prevent any more seizures. I had the BEST day yesterday with a long walk with mom and dad at the park, and then couch cuddles 🥰 nothing beats those days of just hanging with my pawrents. Hope you’re all doing well! 💛
