Recently published on my @substack : While the inaugural exhibition at @ruthasawaofficial’s permanent gallery in @minnesotastreetproject was just deinstalled, I’m really impressed with how thoughtful the curation of this family-run gallery is and can’t wait to see the new show that opens tomorrow!

Plus some words on work by @anastasiatumanova_ at @eleanor_harwood_gallery 🌸 SF’s art scene is very much alive and thriving! Link in bio to read. taken in Minnesota Street Project by @ourmodernarchive

We’re having a feminist fall! New on my Substack: over 40 exhibitions across the world highlighting women artists, past and present, including @cluvie, @mariaberriostudio, @fayeweiwei, @esdevlin, and so many others ⭐️

Say what you will about the art world, but I’m still so disillusioned by the lack of diverse voices. And women, specifically women artists of color, will always have to work harder to land shows.

Read the full guide at the link in my bio!

I’ll be thinking about this exhibition for a long time ✨All 130 ancient objects on view truly shined in this exhibition. Walking through each gallery felt like an in-depth history lesson and the selection of objects was so powerful! On view through January 31, 2027 at @deyoungmuseum 🏛️

@hauserwirth landed in Palo Alto with a heavy-hitting debut, showing works by Georgia O’Keeffe and @calderfoundation! The Bay Area is so lucky to have a museum-quality exhibition exploring these artists’ shared sensibilities and friendship. Full review now live on my Substack, linked in bio ✍️

I just always hated this sculpture, especially after learning it was a male artist’s idea. why does she need to be n*ked? lol. I really hope we get new public art that pays homage to san francisco somehow instead of…whatever this was.
