Back in 2015, I visited Mahakaleshwar Temple for the first time, with Shashank and a group of friends. We weren’t even dating then. Little did I know that one day we’d return to the same sacred place as husband and wife. ✨

If you’re planning to seek blessings at the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, keep these things in mind:

🛕 Plan to go on a weekday. Avoid the weekends and public holidays.
🎟️ You can book sheeghra darshan for Rs 250 on their official website.
✨ Walk through the breathtaking Mahakal Lok Corridor, where every sculpture beautifully narrates stories from Lord Shiva’s life.
🌊 Spend a peaceful evening by the Shipra River, one of India’s holiest rivers.
🎆 End your day with the Light, Sound & Water Show at Mahakal Lok. It’s a beautiful way to experience the history and spirituality of Ujjain.
📍 It happens everyday between 7-8 PM at Rudra Sagar Lake in the Mahakal Lok Corridor. Entry is free.
🪔 Experience the sacred Bhasma Aarti—one of the most unique and powerful Shiva rituals. We attended it on our previous visit, and it’s truly unforgettable. Make sure to book your pass well in advance, as entry is limited and fills up quickly.

✨ A perfect Saturday evening in Bangalore!

🎤 Stand-up comedy by @theskygupta  Started the evening with an absolutely hilarious show by Aakash Gupta. We laughed non-stop from start to finish!

🌮 Gourmet Mexican dinner at @comal.in  And because great evenings deserve great food, we headed to Comal for one of the best Mexican meals in Bangalore.

Every single thing was spot on: 🌯 Delicious Mexican food. 🌶️ Do not miss: Chile en Nogada.
🍹 Unique beverages. Must try: Horchata. 🇲🇽 Rustic ambience which gives Mexico city vibes. 💕 Warm and attentive service.

Last evening in Udupi, and it gave us the kind of sunset you don’t forget.
This trip wasn’t the easiest — I was unwell and spent almost two days indoors. But somehow, this moment made up for all of it.

A quiet delta point, water stretching out on three sides, and the sun melting right in between, like it saved the best for the end.
