Several factors make children and adolescents more susceptible to trafficking. Most traffickers know the children they target, either through family, friends, or online connections.

A highly skilled predator has perfected the art of manipulation, coercion, and seduction.

Protecting our children and teens begins with knowing what red flags to look for before reporting the situation.

Human Trafficking is happening everywhere.

49.6 million people are currently living in modern slavery around the world (ILO, 2022). In the US, trafficking has been reported in all 50 states.

Trafficking doesn't always begin with a violent abduction, it can start with grooming and manipulation in more covert ways.

When a problem is this enormous, it takes everyone for change to occur.

What does our spending say about our priorities?
In a conversation that challenges some uncomfortable assumptions, Derek Benner raises a provocative question about the resources dedicated to protecting children from exploitation.
As the former Acting Director of Homeland Security Investigations and current CEO of Our Rescue, Derek has spent decades confronting crimes most people never have to witness.
Now he’s asking whether we’re doing enough to stop them.
In the next episode of Unlikely Allies, Derek joins Sonny Von Cleveland and Jim Cole for an unfiltered conversation about child exploitation, trafficking, law enforcement, and the difficult decisions that shape our response.
NEW EPISODE TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3.

Actress Mara Wilson, beloved for her work as a child actress in movies such as "Matilda," and "Mrs. Doubtfire," shared a modern horror story.

She discovered that her likeness when she was a child had been used to create AI-generated child sexual abuse material (AIG-CSAM). Her story is deeply unsettling, not because she is famous, but because of the dangerous truth it reveals.

In the age of AI, predators no longer need access to a child to exploit them.

Read more from VP of Cyber at Our Rescue, John Trenary, as he breaks down how easy it is to manipulate an image, and what someone can do to protect their child's privacy and their own. by @ourrescue

Meet Zero, an Electronic Storage Detection (ESD) K9, and his handler, Detective Bobby Bassett of the Grantsville Police Department.

Together, they’re helping change how children experience the difficult process of reporting abuse and participating in investigations. Zero’s specialized training allows him to detect electronic storage devices, while his work as an emotional support dog offers children comfort when they need it most.

Their impact was recently recognized by the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault (@ucasaorg). Today, we recognize Detective Bassett and the dedicated handlers who make this work possible.

Your donations to Our Rescue’s ESD K9 program fund the training, placement, ongoing care, and recertification that keep these heroic dogs working alongside law enforcement teams around the world.

No child should feel that their life is over because someone threatened to expose them.

Sextortion can trigger devastating psychological distress, and the FBI has warned of an alarming rise in suicides connected to these scams.

The consequences can be fatal. Children need to know that sextortion is not their fault and that help is available.

Twenty-six women were promised job opportunities but ended up trapped in sexual exploitation instead.

In Spain, police rescued 26 women from a criminal network that used fake masseuse job offers on social media and messaging apps to recruit victims. Law enforcement arrested 16 suspected traffickers and shut down 11 brothels.

A promise of opportunity should never become a path to exploitation.

Your donation helps Our Rescue support operations that disrupt trafficking networks and provides survivors with access to the care and support they need. Donate today to help bring more people to safety at the link in bio. by @ourrescue

Three women were promised a better future. Instead, they were trafficked, drugged, and held captive in Greece.

Their traffickers used false promises, fabricated debt, threats, and constant surveillance to control their lives. Escape seemed impossible until one woman found a way to call for help.

That call set a rescue operation in motion.

Working alongside @a21 and Greek law enforcement, Our Rescue supported an operation that brought three women to safety and resulted in four arrests.

Rescues like this don't happen without resources. Your donation helps fund operations that support law enforcement, disrupt trafficking networks, and help survivors find safety.

Your support can help make the next rescue possible.

For a child experiencing financially motivated sextortion, one threat can turn into an endless cycle of demands, fear, and manipulation.

When threatened with having their private photos exposed, they may panic, empty their savings, search for cash, or even take their parents’ credit card to make the threats stop.

But the money doesn't make the threats go away. The demands keep coming.

Every child deserves to feel safe online. Your donation helps support efforts to prevent sextortion and protect children from online exploitation.
