Back in 2008, I asked Rick Rubin to release me from American/Columbia Records & I began what would be an insane journey through life. Always writing music, & doing shows, but in a way that felt like just surviving.

I’m happy to say that after almost 20 years of a lot of hard work, and non-stop soul searching, I am sitting here extremely proud of the work that I have done, and happy to have been able to find the balance of what I needed to do alone and then with the contributions from others.
I have also found my way home & I stand before you more grounded, focused, and driven than ever before.
I have a surprise Ours album that will drop on Halloween, & then I will prepare to get back into the studio to record what I feel is the most powerful, exciting & beautiful
album to date.
The songs are all written and here’s the really great news…
April, Race, Static, John Bach and myself have found a way to continue bringing music out to the world together.
This run of dates will only be a small group of select cities around the world until we can figure out how to get to more.
Please know that I have tried my best for more than 28 years to visit each town & city, but this is what we have right now & we are going to make it as great as ever.

I tried to pick a handful of cities that could be destination concerts for people.
Get out, see a concert, & enjoy a wonderful city.
I have so much love for so many places, so hopefully we can figure out how to bring Ours to your town.

My dear friend @frenchgracer has single handedly helped us build France as a market & so we need people like this all over the world. Damien is a rare gem and hard to find anyone like him, but I have confidence that
many more of you are out there.
Hopefully we meet you along the way.
Soon enough, we’ll be in as many cities & countries as possible.

So with that, thank you for the years of love & support with my music & the albums that we have made along the way.

29 Years ago today I signed with Dreamworks Records and began what would become Distorted Lullabies. I went on to make one more album for them before they closed shop and I moved over to
Columbia Records to work with my dear friend Rick Rubin.
I have years of footage and stories that I am hoping to share very soon.

Canada…you have always been so important to me. From the time I was a young boy we would come up to Toronto, Montreal, and Québec City. Then as a young man I got to spend a bit of time in Toronto, Montreal, Windsor, Edmonton, Calgary, and the beautiful Vancouver.
I fell in love with Canada so much that there was even a long weekend when Static and I came up and I was hoping to find a beautiful Canadian girl to marry. The problem was that we weren’t playing any shows, and so we just blended into the scenery as always. 😊
I never did find a wife, but I fell in love with the country even more.

We’ve had the blessings to be able to do tours with my buddy Daniel and the group Neverendingwhitelights, as well as our pal Lukas Rossi when we were actually chased out of a venue in Medicine Hat shortly before they burned it down just days later. (That was wild).

Our travels took us all over the country including shows with Powderfinger, Ocean Colour Scene, and Marilyn Manson. The Manson shows were a bit of a hazing for us, but we were happy to be in the country just the same.

I made it up to Montreal to play the arena with Lana Del Rey and even got to spend many days in Nordegg with my friend Michael Maxxis filming what would become David Carradine’s final days and work which we used for our Devil video.
I have spent many many days through the thick of winter in the city of Edmonton and loved every minute of it.

To say that I have a few Canadian friends whom I love would be a giant understatement.
We have a countless amount of friends, family, and artists who we absolutely love and are eternally grateful for.

I only hope that life and circumstances give us the opportunity to travel your entire country with the band again.
For now, we can manage to get to Toronto for this one night.
Brian Byrne will join us and we can’t wait to see you.

Until then…
xx
Jimmy
