You don’t actually have to be staying here to come in for breakfast, so we went to check out the buffet at Goji Kitchen + Bar 🍳🥐🍜

Breakfast is 670,000 VND per adult and 335,000 VND for kids aged 4–11. It’s one of the best breakfast buffets I’ve had in a long time!

They also have a Pool Pass for 550,000 VND, which includes 300,000 VND to spend on food & drinks. The Pool Pass is valid from 11am.

You don’t have to do both, but it’s so fun making a full day of it!

It’s around 15–20 minutes from the main areas of Da Nang, so definitely worth knowing about if you’re looking for a resort day without staying overnight.

Save this one for your Da Nang list because we’re going to be checking out plenty more hotels and resorts 👀

Don’t get me wrong, we’ve definitely travelled 😂 I just thought we’d have ticked off WAY more countries by now.

But travelling with two kids while working at the same time is… a lot. So slowing down has actually been the best thing we could’ve done. We’ve loved staying somewhere long enough to find our favourite spots, get into a little routine and actually feel like we live there rather than constantly packing up and moving on.

And I also thought this was going to be SO hard. I genuinely thought there was a chance we’d hate it, realise we’d made a terrible decision and be home within a few months 😂

Boy was I wrong.

Now I’m over here trying to work out how the hell we can keep doing this…

Because apparently, once you get used to this life, going back to normal feels like the weird option 😂

Everyone asks how much it costs to live in Da Nang, so here’s what we actually spend as a family of 4 living in Vietnam 🇻🇳

Between rent, international kindergarten, childcare, everyday expenses and still paying for things back in Australia, it all adds up!

We are leaving and coming back after Christmas so our rent expense will likely be a bit higher as we need a bit more space.

75 minutes of head spa bliss for 499,000 VND (approx. $28 AUD). Why am I not doing this every week?!

I’ve taken my 5 year old here too, she absolutely loved it and I’ve been back several times myself for a massage. Safe to say I’m a fan 🙌🏼

How amazing is it that in Vietnam a business opening comes with dancing, drumming and a whole lot of good luck rituals 🥹🙏🏼

After all the discussion around our potential parasite over the last few days, I thought this was a pretty timely post and a good way to kick off my “Most Asked Questions in My DMs” series.

I’ve had SO many questions about what happens if you or your kids get sick while travelling in Da Nang, so I thought I’d share our experiences with healthcare here.

We’ve had a few different experiences with healthcare here now, from Harvey needing emergency care when he was dehydrated, to GP appointments and testing for less urgent things.

🚑 Emergency? Call 115 for an ambulance in Vietnam

Hopefully you never need this information, but it’s definitely good to know where to go and what to expect if you ever do 🤍

Our Sunday morning in Da Nang 🤍

Breakfast at Bikini Bottom, coffee and a walk at Cafe Phuong, a few groceries and then home for our 1 year old’s nap.

If a friend told me they were coming to Vietnam for the first time, this is the itinerary I’d send them

✈️ Hanoi
🚗 Drive to Ninh Binh
🚗 Drive to Lan Ha Bay
🚂 or ✈️ Overnight Train or fly to Da Nang
🚗 Drive to Hoi An
🚂 or🚗 Train or drive to Hue
Then back to Da Nang to fly out

We obviously haven’t seen all of Vietnam, but after 6+ months travelling here with two kids, these are the places I’d happily recommend starting with.

Save it for your Vietnam planning rabbit hole

And yes, check the weather before you book. Vietnam’s weather can be very different from one region to another.
