Oakland Technical High School Drama Department proudly presents Arsenic and Old Lace—Joseph Kesselring’s classic dark comedy that blends murder, madness, and mayhem into one unforgettable evening. When a mild-mannered drama critic discovers his sweet, elderly aunts may not be as innocent as they seem, chaos erupts in this fast-paced, laugh-out-loud farce filled with eccentric characters and razor-sharp wit.

When OUSD performing arts teachers get together, it is always a great time. Yesterday Mrs. Taiwo Kujichagulia-Seitu led an awesome professional development for elementary and secondary music, dance and theater teachers where she taught Mandjani (a traditional West African song, rhythm and dance) and three Negro spirituals. I assisted, and there were five OPAI teachers in the mix. We did this all in three hours. It was the best PD to date☺️ Thank you to everyone who showed up! On December 19th, OPAI and Allendale instructor Mrs. Seitu, had over 400 of her students perform, grades Tk-5. Here, you see some of her students singing in various languages, including English, American Sign Language, Spanish, and Swedish. Excellent job Mrs. Seitu!
