Here are a few simple ways to get tender, delicious venison every time! 🔪 Slice Against the Grain – Shortens the muscle fibers for a more tender bite. 🔨 Use a Meat Mallet – Breaks down tough muscle fibers, especially in cuts from the hindquarter. 🔥 Low & Slow – Use a crockpot or Dutch oven to break down connective tissue in tougher cuts. 💧 Dry or Wet Brine Overnight – Helps season the meat and improve moisture retention. It was an honor to talk waterfowl, wild game cooking, and the passion behind Outdoor Appetite. I hope you all enjoy the episode!
