Just minding my business driving down the street when I’m reminded that Ohio native @jackplotnick is coming to @outheredayton this weekend.
In addition to numerous film & TV credits, Plotnick co-wrote the Broadway show DISASTER! along with @sethrudetsky

We’re very excited! On Sunday, Oct 11 at 3:00, 2 special guests will join us - actor @jackplotnick & writer/director Jason Laurits - for the regional premiere of LOVES COMPANY!
“A high-maintenance, has-been celebrity is kidnapped by his #1 fan. He could escape, but why? She’s the only one left to treat him like gold…until she sees he’s not the bubbly personality he plays on TV. Now she can’t get rid of him. This parody of Stephen King’s MISERY stars Rachel Dratch and Jack Plotnick. Laurits’ short GOODBYE TANGO screened at the festival in 2024.”
This film will be preceded by the post-apocalyptic animated short TUNA TARTARE.
Q&A with Laurits & Plotnick will follow the screening.

We’re looking for some volunteers for our festival!
Volunteers will help with tickets, programs, ballots, seating, etc.
We’re hoping to find 2 people for each of the following time slots:

Fri, Oct. 9: 6:45pm-10:00pm (these volunteers must be 21 or older)
Sat, Oct 10: 11:15am-3:30pm
Sat, Oct. 10: 6:15pm-9:45pm
Sun, Oct. 11: 11:15am-3:30pm
Sun, Oct. 11: 5:15pm-6:30pm
All volunteer hours will take place at THE NEON except for Oct. 9. On Oct. 9 volunteers will be at THE NEON and then at Piccolo Orsetto.
