These squares are sooo satisfying when they’re all sewn together! I can’t wait to see the end result in December ❄️

There’s nothing I love more than an antique filet crochet pattern! This is the first of FOUR panels of identical size that depict the short life of Saint Joan of Arc, one of my personal favorite women in human history. I used lace weight mercerized cotton thread with my shank (a 2mm hook wrapped in gauze for comfort) for this panel and will be used for the next three as well. ⚜️🪽🏰

I made this on a whim this afternoon before a bi-weekly craft night I have with my friend and wanted to share here too 😊 She is teaching me beadwork and I am teaching her filet crochet! I had some craft supplies laying around and I just let the creative spirit and background in communications take me lol. I love sharing my tips and techniques with my fellow makers 😌💕 #fiberarts #filetcrochet #zine #handmade #arts by @outlandish_loca

While I’m only halfway through this project, these little guys are my favorite part! Thoroughly enjoying this filet project and I’m excited to share it when it’s completed! 🫶🏼🐕

EK’s first foray into filet crochet! I saw this pattern and knew I had to have it, and not only do I have a beautiful curtain but I now have a new skill that I’m obsessed with right now. So obsessed in fact, that I have graduated to straight-up crochet floss and a 2.0 mm hook for my next filet endeavor. More to come 🌞

June was a disaster, but it also marked my 27th year of life and Gay Month!!! Despite it all, I’m still creating, loving, and being gay with my loved ones :3 I hope that I can fr post some stuff I made this month because they have been some of my favorite makes ever. #wlw #fiberartist #mood by @outlandish_loca
