🚨UPDATE: 12/20 left🚨

I learn a lot about painting by removing myself from the process between layers and allowing myself to simply experience the story and stages the canvas is taking me on. Many times, i like to snap pictures during these reflective moments. This is one of those times. This wip picture became an entirely independent piece of work from where the journey took me and i love that.

I’ve had a few requests for prints of this one so decided to give the people what they want.

Dedicated to a core childhood memory of being told to wear bright colors during the fall/winter when we played in the woods so that deer hunters wouldn’t shoot us.

One of my favorite things to do with finished pieces is to find a good spot in the house to live with them for while before brushing on a protective coat.

When the afternoon light hits the dining room, this painting comes to life for me.

I love painting.
