J’ai écrit ce morceau un jour comme les autres. Sauf que ce jour-là, le souvenir d’une personne qui comptait énormément pour moi a refait surface.

D’abord, il y a eu la tristesse.

Puis la peur. Et ce vide, ce manque. J’ai revu le film de ce qu’on avait vécu et de tout ce qu’on aurait pu vivre.

Mais le présent, lui, restait marqué par la déchirure, bien réelle.

Ce morceau, je ne l’ai pas écrit pour faire danser. Je l’ai écrit pour affronter le deuil. Je ne l’ai pas écrit pour être joué. Juste pour exprimer ma tristesse. Je ne l’ai pas écrit pour me réconcilier. Mais pour me délivrer.

I wrote this track after a few conversations with a Lebanese DJ who shared the history of her country—its resilience, the wars it has endured over and over again, and the hope that somehow always remains.

Her story deeply resonated with me and became the spark behind this piece.

“The Light Will Stay” also reflects what I’m going through right now. No matter how difficult life gets, there is always a light worth holding on to. Hope is a choice, even in the darkest moments.

This track is a reminder—for myself and for anyone who needs it—that the light will stay ✨

As I mentioned in my previous post, I’m going through a period of radical change in my life. This comes after a situation that left me emotionally exhausted.

It was during that time that I wrote « Running Out. » The track reflects the emotional exhaustion I was feeling while still holding on to a small glimmer of hope. Once you know the story behind it, you can really hear it in the choice of instruments and the way the piece unfolds.

I hadn’t shared this release yet. “Saturated” is a track I produced during a time in my life when I felt completely overwhelmed—emotionally drained and carrying more than I could handle. I needed to express it through music.

That feeling of saturation led to a radical life change, and I’m currently going through this difficult period of transition, hoping to come out stronger and in a better place.

Lately, I’ve felt disconnected from music, but I’m excited to begin an intensive three-month production residency. I feel like I have so much to express and share, and I’m going to do it the only way I know how: through music. taken in Charleroi by @outof_border

I draw my inspiration from the source: my life, shaped by the underground.

Humanity, that’s what it’s about. Understanding that we are not the center of the world and being able to put ourselves aside in order to serve what is fair, that’s what it’s about.

Finding inner peace and nurture happiness in what is right, that‘s what it is all about.

This was all what inspired me when I created this new track that i’m happy to share with you today.

J’ai rencontré Mel il y a plus de 20 ans.
On s’asseyait à l’arrière du bus en rentrant de l’école, on refaisait le monde et je n’aurais jamais imaginé que nous travaillerions ensemble dans le futur.

Aujourd’hui, nous avons capturé un moment hors du temps, un moment de contraste où on passe de la tristesse à l’apaisement.

La nuit tout est différent, les événements sont marquants, il y a une certaine beauté dans un décor sombre.
C’est aussi imprégné d’événements qui, avec le recul, sont surprenants.

Quand on sort la nuit, quelque chose de mystérieux se dégage pour entrer dans un monde parallèle : une comptine pour une nuit…
