Is this what I see when I’m creating? 🍋

What even is art anymore?

WIP 🚧 ⚡️ 🧠

Loving these neons, bringing light 💡 in an otherwise dark time of AI burning environmental turmoil when making art feels arbitrary. But we must keep creating to make things feel better !! ❤️‍🩹

When it feels dark inside try and light up from the outside ⚡️💡⚡️

Chipping away between all the life things and a brain that has it’s own mind 🎨 🧠

My space is small. What I’m making work about isn’t.

Most artists don’t have enormous, slick studio spaces. Most work when and where they can.

I used to have an 40m sq studio space, complete with horses 🐎 roaming (not mine). I worked in a converted cattle shed that leaked on my work, froze my fingertips off and had a meter for 50p’s to keep the lights on. I often ate too many biscuits whilst procrastinating. The natural light was incredible. One day I’ll get back to one.

For now though, I’m fed up of telling myself I can’t be an Artist again until I have a proper studio space. My fingertips are warm and I have more pennies to spend on more materials I don’t need 😂 so what am I waiting for?
