2,240 days since it all began. Blessed for every one of them and grateful to be part of so many athletes’ stories.

Five of the biggest lessons I’ve learned about coaching along the way:

1. Relationships come first.
Know the person behind the athlete. The trust you build and the care you show reach far beyond the results.
2. Turn setbacks into growth.
Be there when things don’t go right. Help athletes understand what happened, make adjustments, and move forward with confidence.
3. Build independent athletes.
Whether you have an offseason or a few sessions together, give athletes the understanding and tools to keep progressing on their own.
4. Environment over everything.
Bring energy, coach the details, and celebrate progress. Create a place where athletes support each other and know your belief in them never runs dry.
5. Keep it simple.
Be consistent. Be intentional. Give one clear cue at a time. Progress comes from doing the right things well, over and over.

Still learning. Still grateful. Still committed to every athlete who trusts me with their development.
