This hiking elopement in the Tetons was so filled with intention and emotions it still makes me smile. R and D had their big wedding planned for June of next year to include families and friends, but they always wanted to elope and hike to this lake where they hiked together for the first time months before.
We started at 4am with headlamps, under the stars before we made it to a field of boulders right before the lake. Just a reminder your wedding day can be anything you dream of and a dose of adventure doesn’t have to take away from traditions from the first look to having a beautiful wedding dress.

Hi, I haven’t officially showed my face here (I’ll still hide a little bit 😏) but I am the photographer behind the camera for Out West Elopements. Before you hire anyone for your elopement or wedding you should know a few things about them and see if they would be a good fit. About me: I am an avid hiker, backpacker and traveler. I have been to over 50 countries and still think I haven’t seen anything. Nomad at heart. Nature is my happy place. I value memories and experiences more than anything. I am a risk taker in life and I attribute some the best things that happened to me to my bold decisions. After all adventure brought me to the USA and my own love story to Utah…I firmly agree with Mark Twain’s quote ‘20 years from now you’ll be regretting things you didn’t do, not the things you did do’. I have been photographing landscape and documenting some of my travels for over 15 years now and over that time I mastered how to use natural life to capture the most captivating scenery and incorporated that skill into taking beautiful elopement photography of the two of you… standing in a grand landscape. My style is true to life, vibrant and a mix of documentary and editorial style. To learn more about me and my travel photography follow me @alinasfotos .

Sharing some sneak peeks from this beautiful elopement in the Uintas here in UT. I loved the mountains, the details, the little signs from great grandma, the theme and horses….did I mention hundreds of sheep showing up in the field to witness this beautiful wedding? P and T day went by so fast I wish we could hand out with horses taking photos more. And the location in Utah’s mountains meant so much for the couple. I always say where and how you get married matters…so plan with intention.

Happy belated anniversary to this cute couple. Souther Utah and Moab are some of the best elopement destinations. I am hoping to photograph more elopements here next year and can’t wait to show new couples some of my favorite Utah elopement spots. C and Ph had an adventure elopement, full of smiles and laughs, intentional moments. It felt light and fun to photograph their elopement…and no you don’t have to hike but I will always give you that option, because some of the best spots are harder to get to. Reminder- you must have a permit to exchange vows, or get married in any national park regardless of number of guests. Permits for GTNP are $200
1. Mormon Row- pros: iconic barn and gorgeous views, up to 50 guests, cons: very crowded and competitive 2.

3. Glacier View Turnout pros: incredible classic Teton Views, larger groups, wheelchair accessible Cons: busy, kind of right off the parking lot
4.Mountain View Turnout pros: intimate, different view at the Tetons, more mature set up Vins: up to 20 people
5.Snake River pros: larger groups ok, wheelchair accessible cons: off the parking lot, busy with tourists
6.Schwabacher Landing: pros: beautiful spot at the end of a trail, up to 25 guests cons: very competitive to get the permit, require short walk on a trail, popular with tourists.

Eloping on the Oregon Coast is something else. Dramatic cliffs, breeze, moody sky, green forest and gorgeous empty beaches. If you like the sense of adventure and dramatic scenery you will like eloping on the Oregon Coast. Combine that with gigantic Redwoods and ancient energy of the forest and you’ll get elopement you’ll never forget. PNW offers some incredible scenery for elopements and I hope to travel here more next year.

GTNP is truly one of America’s most spectacular parks. An elopement or wedding in the Tetons would be a stunning and memorable way to celebrate your love amidst the breathtaking natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains. So what do you need to elope in the Tetons?

If you want to get married in WY you have to get a marriage license apply for it in person. It costs $30 and there is no waiting period in Wyoming, meaning you can pick up your marriage license and get married on the same day
Jackson Hole clerk office right in town, would be the best convenient place to get it.
if you have more than 12 people, you’re limited to the six ceremony sites listed below. If you have less than 12 people, you can elope anywhere in the park aside from the locations I will mentioned in the next 2 paragraphs..
You will need a special use permit in order to have a ceremony in the park. Because this park gets pretty popular I recommend applying for one at least 3 months in advance, if not 6 months in advance. Most sites only allow 60 weddings a year. The special use permits are reversed on a first-come first-serve basis. The permit fee is $200 and it’s non refundable. In order for your application to be considered you should fill out the form from GTNP website and submit your $200 fee. Makeup @laceyscheidel by @outwestelopements

One of the most beautiful ‘venues’ in Utah and one of my favorite places to elope in Utah is Dead horse point state park. One other great thing about Dead Horse Point is although it seems so remote and wild, yet it’s’ relatively close to Moab. Moab would be the best place to based yourself out of to explore the area, visit Arches National Park and other amazing spots just outside of town. You can find numerous hotels in town, as well as more fancy and private Airbnbs or glamping accommodations. Under Canvas is one of those offering comfortable resort style tents with great views and fancy amenities. There is also a lot of dispersed camping where you can camp for free. by @outwestelopements

Not every sunrise is equal and this was one of my favorites. The stormy clouds , moody vibes, vibrant greens and wildflowers made the backdrop for this Teton elopement so special. Also my clients who woke up super early to meet me at 6am had the best attitudes and the whole day was just perfect. Grand Teton elopements are worth the drive, the wake up call. K and G elopement was special in many ways.
