a few weeks ago I got to showcase the centrepiece for my current project at @fishtankworkshop_ . It’s a painting of my grandma from a picture I took of her 2 years ago in Uganda

thank you so so so much to everyone that came to see my painting. my heart was and still is so full just thinking about how many people showed up to support me. I love u allllllllllll!! you know who you are❤️🫂 and thank you FishTank for being part of the best year of my life (so far!) by @outwiththaoldd

I sourced all of these from all over London. Some from home, my aunts place, Dalston market, Walworth Road market, charity shops, the speakers I got from Facebook marketplace, I also went to a carboot sale. I went everywhere for this project. And I’m so happy with how it turned out by @outwiththaoldd

6 months ago I completed a set design internship for a short film with @dora.miller . Whilst painting some egg props, I realised how much I missed painting and mixing colours (swipe to see the exact moment I had the epiphany !)

A month after this, I applied for a year long artist residency with @fishtankworkshop_ , and I was accepted as one of the 12 artists for this year’s edition, which started 3 months ago.

And here I present to you the first piece that I’ve made. It’s half of my first project of beautiful flowers on broken canvases - the other half I’m still working on :)

Thank you so much to everyone that came to see my work at the private view of the group show. Your presence meant the world to me and I love you all deeply🤞🏿 Congratulations to all the other artists, your work is beautiful

A special shoutout to flowers. I love painting them, drawing them, and working with them in many different mediums.
