I can’t believe I did this. 26.2. @chimarathon #ChicagoMarathon #MyFirstMarathon #Marathon by @outwork.saint

10 months ago I made a promise to myself. I kept it. 🏁 by @outwork.saint

Running a marathon is about one thing, sacrifice.

As we were about to make the turn entering Chinatown at Mile 21 I looked over to see a young girl wobbling & pale as ever! I asked her was she alright, she turned over & said “Is this the finish line?” It was at that moment I was reminded of a lifelong teaching my father would preach to me daily.

“Raph when you see someone that needs help, help them” as tired as I was at that moment I looked around, the brother to her left looked at me & said “let’s get her to the next aid station” we did just that carried her about half a mile got her to safety then continued on for the next 5 miles to the finish! @chimarathon @adidasrunning
