The key to everyday style is having pieces that work well together.

This outfit is a good example. The fitted square-neck top balances the relaxed shape of the slouchy jeans, creating contrast that feels intentional rather than accidental.

The accessories follow the same idea. Layered necklaces add interest, while the soft red bag echoes the easy shape of the denim. Nothing matches exactly, but everything relates.

Notice there’s no belt. I wanted to keep the silhouette relaxed and effortless.

The result feels a little “model off duty”—styled, but not overstyled.

For me, that’s everyday style: shape, balance, and ease.

Comment TOP for all the goodies🤎

A top with impact. 🤎

This zebra-print mesh top is semi-sheer, a little unexpected, and definitely not playing it safe. Sexy and a bit sheer, but not completely see-through—a nude bra underneath is really all it needs.

When I walked out wearing it, Bob looked at me and said, “If I were single and you were single, I’d be making a run at you.” 😂

I’m calling that a successful outfit.

I kept the rest simple with denim and let the top do what it came to do. by @over60stylefile

Comment PREPPY to shop💙

Modern preppy, starting with the basics.

I started with a white tank and jeans, then added the Tommy Hillfigger argyle and pearls—and just like that, preppy became the predominant style.

But I didn’t want to go full-on preppy. The flared jeans, chocolate pointed boots and relaxed suede bag pull in a few different influences and make it feel more like me.

I love that you can mix different style personalities in one outfit and still have one clearly leading the conversation.

For this one, preppy is talking the loudest. 😂 But not so loud that you stop seeing me first.

Would you wear it? 💙💚 by @over60stylefile

Comment SHOP for@the links🩶🤍🤍🤎

Looking expensive has very little to do with the price tag. 🤎

This entire look is built around affordable pieces, but a few styling choices make the difference: a soft tonal palette, beautiful texture, a defined waist, and rich brown accessories repeated from belt to boots.

The lightweight marled cardigan and sweater skirt are both Target finds, and the belt and boots are Amazon.

It’s not about spending more. It’s about making every piece look intentional. by @over60stylefile

Apparently camo pants mean I’m going hunting. 😂
I’m hunting for cute outfits, so… fair.

I styled them three ways because camo is surprisingly versatile when you treat it like a neutral.

Comment DENIM to shop💙

Low estrogen. Original parts. No supervision. 💣😂 The hormones may be questionable, but the outfit decisions are still going strong!

Three denim looks, each with a little unexpected twist.

LOOK 1 | Pretty meets edgy
Oversized, distressed cuffed denim with a feminine lace top and leather jacket. A little softness, a little attitude.

LOOK 2 | Color with confidence
Light-wash denim, punchy chartreuse, and a cropped eggplant suede jacket. An unexpected color combination.

LOOK 3 | A little wild
Straight-leg denim and a zebra-print mesh top. Simple silhouette, plenty of personality.

The common thread? Creating a little tension between pieces. Feminine with rugged, bold color with casual denim, and statement prints with simple silhouettes.

The weather here in Oregon is like Sybil. One day it’s fall, the next day we’re back in the middle of summer.

But I’m ready for fall color, even if the temperatures aren’t cooperating!

This gorgeous berry-burgundy shade gives me all the autumn vibes without the weight of traditional fall fabrics. And I love how versatile this lightweight jumpsuit is.

Comment BLAZER for outfits.🩶

Apparently shopping with your sister-in-law is dangerous. 😂

Barbara is 82, I’m 64, and somehow we came home with the same Free Assembly blazer. Naturally, there was only one thing to do.

Same blazer. Two generations. Very different styling — and absolutely no chance Barbara was going to stand there quietly and model it. 😂

Barbara: Free Assembly blazer + pink blouse with the maroon bow tie
Me: Free Assembly blazer + Free Assembly cream flying-duck tie-neck blouse + my cream jeans + new Target shoes

I think we need to take Barbara shopping more often.

Who wore it better is NOT the question. Who behaved better might be. 😂 by @over60stylefile

I spent a lot of my working life dressing for the job, the environment, and sometimes for other people’s expectations.
For years, that meant corporate. Polished, appropriate...and honestly, a little suffocating for me.
Now I have the freedom to dress for my personality.
I still love classic pieces. I just don’t want classic to mean predictable. I want something unexpected and enough personality that the clothes actually feel like me.
Maybe that’s one of the best things about getting older: you stop dressing for who you’re supposed to be and start dressing like you know who you are.
OUTFIT DETAILS: This asymmetrical top is actually from last year-and I’ve noticed several influencers wearing it this season. A great piece doesn’t need to be new to feel current. I paired mine with relaxed wide-leg denim, burgundy pointed boots and a long gold pendant to give the look some movement and personality. by @over60stylefile

Comment SKIRT for all the looks💖

This faux leather midi skirt is such a good fall piece!
The faux leather is surprisingly soft, and the A-line shape makes it really easy to wear.
I styled it four ways-with zebra print, a rust open-weave cardigan, a green one-shoulder top, and red with a cropped denim jacket. I love how different each look feels.
It has a side zip, comes in several colors, and has a 4.4 rating on Amazon. A fun way to add a little leather to your wardrobe without always going with black. by @over60stylefile

A few recent try-ons and some really fun finds.
This asymmetrical plaid skirt has a side zip and is surprisingly versatile - l can already think of so many ways to style it.
Narrower belts with statement buckles are having a big moment for 2026, and I love what this leather one adds to a look.
And the polka dot trench? A statement in the best possible way. It also comes in other colors if yellow isn’t your favorite. by @over60stylefile
