💿River City Rhythm 008 - Milla Campollo — Let Me Tell You💿

@MillaCampollo is a Guatemalan DJ and producer based in Barcelona, exploring the intersection of Acid, Electro, Psychedelic and deep-driving Techno. Her artistic approach is built around tension, movement and storytelling, carefully shaping each set into a gradual journey where hypnotic rhythms, acid textures and unexpected turns create moments of both introspection and release.

Now based in Barcelona and a resident at Bonkers Music, Milla continues to develop a distinctive artistic identity across both DJ sets and productions.

Her first release with microminimal is propelled by rising drone chords, an arpeggiated square-wave percussion melody and syncopated rhythmic sections, creating an interplay between harmonic tension and subtle rhythmic movement.

💿River City Rhythm 007 - Michelxn — Kiwi💿

@michelxn is a South American producer based in Brisbane. An active performer across the city, he also manages the @room2.collective video-mix collaborations with microminimal.

Juan is devoted to the depth and restraint of minimal underground music, driven by a deep respect for rawness, groove, subtlety and atmosphere.

Kiwi is his first release with the label and an impressive example of hardware-led production from an artist who recently turned 20. The track pairs live modulation of a pulsating acid lead with crunchy 1990s drums and glassy choral tones, creating a mesmerising and hypnotic atmosphere.

💿River City Rhythm 006 - Marco Christo — Relax Your Mind💿

The Yorkshire-born, Brisbane-based DJ and producer has been making waves since moving Down Under, playing across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney. His style draws from 2000s Tech House, Acid, Garage and Minimal.

Relax Your Mind marks @MarcoChristo.Music’s first release on the label and his debut as a producer. The track reflects years of work spent cultivating his sound for both the dance-floor and studio, while offering a glimpse of what is still to come. Its acidic lead groove takes the listener on a tripped-out journey through bouncing vintage drums, entrancing vocal elements and resonant squelches from the MB33’s overdriven filter.

💿River City Rhythm 005 - JPknowz — Erick💿

@doyouknow.jp is a Toronto-based DJ, musician and producer. A graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, he possesses a mastery of tone, pitch and harmony that few electronic musicians can boast. He puts this musicality across his creative output, from DJ mixes, immersive audio live sets, sound design, and endeavours as a recording guitarist and multi-instrumentalist.

A co-founder of microminimal records, Justin has helped build the project from the ground up, performing at events across Canada and contributing to the label’s catalogue through both his former moniker, “parting”, and his current project, JPKnowz.

Erick evokes the heady sounds of warehouse parties gone by, built around a contemplative lead synth, punchy bass melody and energetic rhythmic phrasing.

💿River City Rhythm 004 - Foreman — No Way Out💿

@Ffforeman is a Brisbane-based artist whose textural style blends darkness, grit and depth. A staple of Brisbane’s DJ scene, Nick has played across Australia and released with the likes of @NotSoSeriousGroup and @InnerMindRecords_.

He was one of the first people @overdub.rj met after moving to Australia and has since become a welcome member of the microminimal crew. No Way Out marks his first release on the label, following an appearance at one of our events in 2023. It is a melange of enchanting synths, airy textures and a coarse, driving bassline. Hazy tones sit against weighty low-end, giving the production a dark and immersive character.

💿River City Rhythm 003 - Devv — Drifting💿

@RevinDattie is one of Canada’s standout producers in Minimal House. He has released with the likes of @pirka.avh and @clara.records, while also co-founding the Toronto-based projects @AllBlakRecords and @YunaImprint.

Not only was the idea for @microminimalrecords created at one of Devv’s events, but he also played at our first-ever party on Toronto’s Bathurst Street in 2019. The Albertan resident now returns to the label, having previously collaborated with @PaulQuzz on Swordfish in 2022.

Drifting evokes the sounds of the 1980s, pairing Quincy Jones-esque production with pensive chord structures, deep bass grooves and a driving, portamento-laden lead synth.

Overdub is a London-born audio engineer, musician and a graduate of @AbbeyRoadInstitute. He co-founded @microminimalrecords in 2019 while based in Toronto, Canada, and currently operates out of Brisbane, Australia.

His protean style draws from the palettes of acid, dub techno, electro, house and minimal, combining analog synthesis, expressive modulation and atmospheric textures into live mixes - recorded directly to tape.

💿River City Rhythm 002 - Auntie Brenda — What’s Your Personality💿

@NotYourAuntieBrenda is a Gold Coast-based artist who has spent the past seven years meticulously refining his sonic palette across both studio and stage. He first cut his teeth in Minimal House through @CampPaprika and recently co-founded @PeaceMotionSounds alongside @SophieMcCoy.

Auntie Brenda has been a welcome addition to the microminimal crew since @overdub.rj moved operations Down Under, first playing at one of our Fortitude Valley events in 2023.

His track brings together a driving synth melody, punchy percussion and tightly controlled sub-bass with chopped, modulated vocal elements and rising synth tones. Momentum builds through the interplay of rhythmic precision, melodic repetition and evolving textures, resulting in a focused and propulsive groove.
