@overtexdnb is a Guatemala-born, Los Angeles-based producer whose music exists in the space between pressure and restraint. Shaped by soundsystem culture, reggae, trance, and years of classical training, his work strips Drum &Bass back to its essential elements rhythm, weight, and intention. Early exposure to his older brothers’ record collections, combined with formal studies in cello, drums, and flute, helped develop a deep understanding of both musicality and movement. Drawing influence from techno, dub reggae, and minimal DnB, he crafts sound with patience, allowing every element room to breathe while maintaining a steady sense of momentum. His productions favor atmosphere over excess, depth over distraction, and are built with a clear appreciation for the dancefloor. With releases spanning Colombia, Belgium, and the UK, Overtex continues to refine a sound that is understated yet powerful representing a perspective where less is more, and where the signal always outweighs the noise. You can catch his premiere on @dnb_spread. by @overtexdnb
