We spend so much time focusing on what’s wrong with us that we forget to notice the good we’re creating along the way.

The cracked pot thought it was failing because it couldn’t hold all the water. What it didn’t realize was that its “flaw” was helping someone else.

Sometimes the things you’re hardest on yourself about—your sensitivity, your scars, your mistakes, your struggles—are the very things someone else needs to see to motivate them to keep going.

You don’t have to be perfect.
Just keep sharing your story đŸŒ»

Trauma doesn’t just affect emotions—it can actually change how the brain processes safety, danger, and emotion. Researchers found that after trauma, the brain may become more focused on detecting threats, making it harder to tell the difference between what’s truly dangerous and what’s safe.

So next time you feel triggered or like something is wrong g with you, give yourself some grace 💚

Comparison thinking can quietly convince us that everyone else is ahead, doing better, healing faster, or more successful. The problem is we’re usually comparing our full reality to someone else’s highlight reel.

You are not failing because your path looks different. Different strengths, different timelines, different lives. Your value was never meant to be measured against someone else’s.

What can you do this week to share your story with someone else? You don’t have to tell your truths to impact someone else’s life 💚

Taking care of yourself doesn’t mean you’re weak, lazy, or selfish. It means you’re human.

You cannot pour from an empty cup. Eventually, your mind and body will ask for the care you kept putting off. Take the time before your body makes the choice for you.

Sometimes healing isn’t about pretending you have no regrets.
It’s about learning how to stop turning hindsight into self-destruction.

But the version of you back then didn’t have the same knowledge, boundaries, healing, or perspective you have now.

You can take accountability without speaking to yourself like an enemy. You can learn from the past without living inside it forever.

Happy Friday my friends đŸ–€ Remember, self-care is not selfish. When you need a break, take it before everything takes you.

A “loud mind” doesn’t always mean something is wrong with you. Sometimes it’s your brain trying to protect you, outcomes, solve problems, or stay alert after stress. Anxiety, overthinking, obsessive thoughts, burnout, and even unresolved emotions can make your thoughts feel nonstop.

The problem is that the brain doesn’t always know the difference between a real emergency and an imagined one. So it keeps sounding the alarm.

Give yourself some grace đŸ–€ We are all doing our best. Trying to find the root of the emotion but don’t spend so much time on it you cannot get anything else done or start being mean to yourself.

I love the “sunflower theory” when it comes to mental health and healing. đŸŒ»

Sunflowers naturally turn toward the sun while they grow. And honestly, healing kind of works like that too.

After hard things—trauma, anxiety, grief, burnout, heartbreak—it’s easy to get stuck in survival mode. Your brain starts expecting danger everywhere. You overthink, shut down, isolate, or just feel exhausted all the time.

Healing usually isn’t one huge life-changing moment.
Most of the time, it’s smaller than that.

It’s going to therapy.
Taking your meds.
Getting out of bed anyway.
Texting someone back.
Letting yourself rest without feeling guilty.
Learning that not every thought your brain gives you is true.

Little by little, you start turning back toward things that make you feel safe, grounded, hopeful, or alive again.

And the thing I love most about sunflowers? Even when the sun is hidden behind clouds, they still know which direction to face.

Sometimes healing is just that—
holding onto the possibility of light before you can fully feel it again. đŸŒ»

A lot of people dismiss their own pain because someone else “had it worse.” But trauma is not a competition. Research and trauma specialists emphasize that trauma is less about the event itself and more about how your nervous system experienced it. What overwhelms one person may not overwhelm another—and that doesn’t make either experience less real.
