I've always wanted to do an #outsidephotography with the Warhammer Space Marines Ultra Marines figures, but I never found a perfect place to actually do it.
But since there are grassy hill tops literally
outside my house, it was perfect! 👍👌

Day 31✔️: #halloween

(Censored nipples. Censoring sucks!)

This is the movie that started the slasher genre & it was a big breakthrough for both director John Carpenter & the female lead Jamie Lee Curtis.

Michael Myers became an horror icon with his mask, which was originally a Captain Kirk from Star Trek mask that they painted fully white, made the eyes dark & black, & even combed his hair ("hair", the irony 😜). They did that because they couldn't afford a better looking & more scarier mask.
The theme music by Carpenter is so iconic & so memorable, the first time I saw this movie as a kid the music was so eerie & scary that I couldn't sleep because the music was still playing in my head!
But I still loved the theme music though, don't get me wrong!

It got a couple of sequels, the 3rd movie was meant to start a new series of different stories taking place on Halloween, like an anthology. But that only confused people & they demanded Michael Myers back.
Then came the 1st requel, H2O - Halloween: 20 Years Later, which got a sequel, Halloween Resurrection. Then came Rob Zombie's unnecessary remake, which also got a sequel.
Then came the 2nd requel, Halloween 2018, which got two sequels - Halloween Kills & Halloween Ends.

#punisherday

Read #thepunishershowdownsblackwidow & it was really good. Again, it reminded me of the classic Punisher: War Journal comics from the 80's & 90's, which I really like! 😃🤘🙂

Looking forward to the other Showdowns issues where Frank teams up with Wolverine & Bucky Barnes the Winter Soldier.

Day 28: #biohunter

It's similar to The Thing, but it's still its own movie. The main characters are kinda like Bruce Banner/The Incredible Hulk (which is not too far off) & Tony Stark/Iron Man (doesn't have a robot armor & is not rich, but he's a ladies man & he looks like an anime version of Tony).

I really like these old school animes, especially the ones who are rated-R or NC-17.
But it also depends on the story & the characters though, If they are good & well done that makes it even better.
And this is one of the good ones, definitely worth checking out If you like old school anime.

Based on a manga & the script is written by director Yoshiaki Kawajiri, mostly known for Ninja Scroll, Wicked City, Demon City Shinjuku & Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust.

Day 23: #jaws

Director Steven Spielberg's breakthrough movie & it also has one of music composer John Williams's most iconic music scores.
Behind the scenes the mechanical shark was named Bruce after Spielberg's lawyer & that's why it's the name of the shark in Finding Nemo.

I know a guy who has read the book the movie is based on & according to him the book was mostly about the love triangle drama between the police chief, his wife & the marine biologist, the shark is barely the vocal point of the story.
I'm really glad that they changed it in the script cause imagine the disappointment from the audience who expected to see a suspenseful, horror movie about a killer shark on the rampage & instead got a boring love triangle drama!

It got 3 sequels - the 2nd movie had potential, but it wasn't as great or good as the 1st movie.
The 3rd movie was nothing but a 3D gimmick that had a short comeback in the 80's & the 3D effects where pretty sloppy, even Friday the 13th part 3 has better looking 3D effects.
The 4th movie is not only the worst movie in the franchise, but it's also one of the most ridiculous & dumbest movie of them all! Jaws: The Revenge is literally about the shark wanting revenge, you think it would be the opposite! 😂😜
It also got a bunch of Italian ripoffs & ripoffs about other killer sea creatures.

Day 22: #theshining

Based on the book by Stephen King. King himself was not a fan of director Stanley Kubrick's adaptation of his story.

So in the 90's King produced a made for TV miniseries adaptation of The Shining that was more faithful to his book, but that one was not good at all. It wasn't scary, there was no suspense, crappy early 90's CGI effects & it looked more like an awful parody than the true version of The Shining!
Kubrick's movie was more superior in comparison!

Many years later King suprisingly wrote a sequel called Doctor Sleep, which also got a movie adaptation that was very far away from being a masterpiece like Kubrick's movie!
My biggest nit pick is that the villain looks like a god damn hipster & it's really annoying!
I feel like King only came up with this idea just to start an unnecessary franchise, but I could be wrong...
